@MarioLover92 how do I get the Pumpkin DIYs?

Not gonna lie, I am just a little let down by the Halloween/fall update. The summer update added swimming which kept me busy for quite a while. But this one just isn't as involved.

I don't dislike it, I have Halloween stuff all over my island now. I just kinda wish there was more to getting the DIYs than just randomly from villagers like we do with the normal DIYs.

And the set is more limited too. The mermaid set is so gorgeous and it felt like a real accomplishment to finish the set.

To be fair, like irl, all the Halloween decorations will end up in storage after the holiday is over. So they got that right. Lol.

I really like growing the pumpkins. But I got more than enough so quickly! The mechanics make me want them to add more farming to the game and maybe have us grow specific vegetables during different seasons to unlock special DIYs. Wouldn't that be fun? I feel like it would be.

@Heavyarms55 Yeah, there's not a lot going on besides getting more DIYs, candy, and costume pieces. I'm getting a ton of pumpkins each day too - they add up so fast! That would be pretty cool if the farming was expanded upon, though I would imagine it would just lead to more DIYs. Perhaps that'll happen when Halloween's over, but I can't be too sure. I'm wondering what the winter update will bring to the table, too.

@MarioLover92 I doubt we'd get more farming in the Winter update, but I could see it in spring for an anniversary update. For winter I feel like they will implement some kind of special "totally not Christmas" gift giving thing.

I like DIYs as rewards for doing stuff. It was so satisfying to finish the mermaid set! That was a long and pretty tedious process, but once I had it, if felt real good! Which is why the Halloween stuff, getting them just like regular DIYs, was kind of a let down...

To be honest, I pretty much give a villager whatever is in my pocket. I should have received a lot more villager photos by now. I had Marshall for months and never got his photo. It’s strange, some give it early, and some really make you work for it.

@Heavyarms55 You're right, I doubt we're getting any farming during wintertime - it wouldn't make a lot of sense anyway. Currently we know that the Mario items are coming next March, which I'm super excited for. (I mean look at my username, lol.) I do wonder what a 1-year anniversary update will bring - expanded farming would be pretty nice indeed. Next year will also be the Zelda series' 35th anniversary so I could definitely see Zelda items in New Horizons too.

I have a lot of mermaid items too, I know I have gotten all the mermaid DIYs. Just need to find a good place on my island to put them, lol

@MarioLover92 At first I set up an outdoor mermaid hotel room kind of thing. But the wall and floor are so gorgeous that I had to give them a room in my house.

Yeah the Mario items should be cool. Still find it odd that they announced them so far ahead of time. LoZ items would be nice too.

Next year is also Pokemon's 25th and I would love some Pokemon merchandise in ACNH too. Even just like a couple items.

On the note of wishlists, I wish that we had more game console props too.

Given the amazing success of ACNH, I hope they continue to support it well into next year.

I'd be even open to paid DLC, if it was meaty enough.

@Heavyarms55 Yeah I'm sure they'll continue to give the game more love overtime. They did make an amiibo update for New Leaf three years after it came out, after all. I'd totally love more Nintendo consoles besides the Switch in my home. I did make custom designs for the Super Famicom and GameCube that are hanging on the wall in my house, so it's kinda like having those consoles in my AC home. I did make a Dreamcast custom design too. Not expecting paid DLC at the moment, but I do agree with you on that - if it's substantial enough I'd be down for it.

@MarioLover92 I don't know how they could do it, but I would love having more space on the island and maybe more villagers potentially. Then maybe throw in a mini game island like in NL with special, winnable items. That would make for a good DLC expansion.

What would you want from one?

@Heavyarms55 Minigames would be a great addition to NH. Maybe they could have a theme park island and you could play them while you're on any of the rides. Kinda like in Super Mario Sunshine, where they have that roller coaster in Pinna Park. And if you do good enough you'll get souvenirs/DIYs based on said theme park. There would be, give or take, 10 or 15 rides/minigames. Just an idea that I had for NH - that would be pretty fun.

@MarioLover92 That would be a neat idea. I could see it. Could be a way to get your villagers to like you more too.

@Heavyarms55 Yeah absolutely! A lot of people like theme parks, so hanging out at one and going on rides with your villagers would be a nice memory to have.
