@Heavyarms55 Yeah, if you open a thread, then hit search, your search is filtered by the category/topic that was in that thread. So, you think you're search ALL threads, but your not. It's pure trickery. I've been fooled by that issue several times. Maybe you did something like that.
I always have to open forums, (DON'T LOOK AT A THREAD😠), then search. lol.
I've been tempted to say something in "ideas for the site" about it, but I figured most people haven't noticed, and might think I'm nuts. So, I haven't said anything.
@NintendoByNature it looks that way. Inspite of the "reboot" in the title, it sounds like it's more of an "hd remaster" situation. I'm thinking there's bound to be some differences, but i could only guess as to what.

Give me a heads-up if you're going to send a request please.
@NintendoByNature : Remakes tend to be. It all depends on whether you want to re-experience the first two games with shiny new graphics, QoL improvements, and/or online play.
@WoomyNNYes It's showing up there now. I blame @Joeynator3000 . We all know they are the single greatest evil mastermind on this website. First he makes me unable to see an Advance Wars thread, next he takes over the world!

I never got round to playing anything from this series either, so this is a great announcement from my point of view.
I'll prob buy this day 1, given that we already know the games are good, based on the originals.
Are these being done by Intelligent Systems as well as Wayforward? I just hope these aren't being done at the expense of the next Fire Emblem game, because I was really hoping we'd see another of those on the Switch. They had so much room to improve on Three Houses, even though it was a brilliant game.
I haven't played the originals but this remake is terribly lifeless interms of the animations that I'm hoping that Nintendo/Intelligent Systems advises Wayforward to either make them identicle or allows to switch over to the GBA visuals atleast...
Love Advance Wars, but I never really had the opportunity to play the second game, which I hear is one of the best in the series (whereas I spent a decent amount of time with the original and 70+ hours with Days of Ruin), so I'm actually super excited to experience that.
I'll play the games in order, though. Even if it's a faithful remake, the change in visual design will make the first game feel like a fresh experience.
Currently Playing: Fields of Mistria (PC); Cookie Clicker (PC); Metaphor: ReFantazio (PC); Overboard! (PC)
The only reason I might wait a while to play it is because I played them on Wii U like 4 or so years, so its not been too long in the grand scheme of things (though longer than any of the time between previous Advance Wars releases...now that I think about it). So these will be way more familiar to me than the DS games
Actually thinking about it, despite being my favorite, I've never replayed Dual Strike ever. Maybe someday...
Game of the show for me, even if a tad expensive. I am hoping for single switch multi as well as online; I am hesitating to call it "hot seat" since you'd be passing the system around, but you know what I mean ;P
