@SKTTR No SMT title on Switch other than TMS had direct involvement from Nintendo to my knowledge. Atlus is developing the game in house and they're also self publishing it like their other MegaTen titles. In addition, the Nocturne remaster is also coming to PS4 alongside Switch so why would Nintendo be involved in that process to begin with? Same goes with SMT V.

@TheFrenchiestFry Even with no direct involvement, Nintendo is presenting this series proudly and advertises all of its games on their own channels. There's a strong possibility that Nintendo is up to publish at least SMT V in some countries or have you heard otherwise?

@SKTTR Yeah console manufacturers always promote third party exclusives all the time. Sony does that with Yakuza, Persona, Trails of Cold Steel and FFVII Remake, but they're not actually involved in the development process. Also it looks like Atlus is publishing the game worldwide. For Europe they might partner with Deep Silver like they did with Persona 5 but don't expect Nintendo to handle publishing anywhere like Dragon Quest XI S or Octopath Traveler considering Atlus has dedicated branches for Japanese and worldwide publishing efforts

@Shulkalot I know this one so I might as well answer: Pokkén Tournament is called Pokémon Tekken in Germany (which is where SKTTR is from) because Pokken is German for smallpox.

Only, the same word also applies to dutch, my primary language, and we still call it Pokkén Tournament. Weird.

@Shulkalot Oh that is weird. You'd think they'd use that name in Dutch as well. I agree with @jump though that Pokemon Tekken is the better name. I mean it's not great, especially because the game has pretty much nothing to do with Tekken other than the developer, but Pokken is a weird name that sounds more like a bootleg than an official product.

Looking at this list it feels like Nintendo is spreading it's developers too thinly in recent years. No wonder so many Nintendo franchises like 1080, Wave Race, Metroid, Star Fox, F-Zero, Wario and others are still missing from the Switch. Bring back the N64 mantra of quality over quantity.
