Switch pro controller is $64 bucks on amazon right now. The SN30 pro controller is $50.

I have both. Overall, I like the Pro Controller better most of the time. But the 8bitdo controller is nice for games where I want to use the D-pad primarily and as a cheaper second controller that I can toss in my backpack as a back up and also it can be used with PC and Android devices.

Is it too far to say the Nintendo Pro Controller is one of the best ever? I have most consoles but am mainly Nintendo fan. The Pro Controllers for the switch are by far my favorite - The official ones, not the power A ones.

@Heavyarms55 exactly that. I like my SF30Pro mainly for the 2D platformer kind of games and Mario Kart. I don't like it for BOTW or Odyssey. Don't have the original Pro controller yet though, so it's hard to compare. I'll probably buy it in the spring or so.

Is it one of the best ever? My favorite controller of all time was the silver 360 controller that had the d-pad you could rotate.

I also have to consider portability. I don’t travel a lot, but I’d like the convenience of taking one along
