@BloodNinja Nope, I’ve cited the same wiki page that I’ve already linky dinked you ;p
Seriously watch A Time to Kill as Mathew McConaughey speech at the end is amazing, A Few Good Men which has the “You Can’t Handle The Truth” line in it, The Trial of the Chicago 7 which should have won best Oscar as Nomadland isn’t really a movie to be honest, 12 Angry Men as it’s a classic for a reason and a controversial choice Alley McBeal as despite it being cheese it was fun and it’s portrayal of metal illness was really interesting.
@Purgatorium You would have to look at many individual cases to get the clearest picture. I’ve seen court cases where there is overwhelming evidence against the suspect and he gets off, not guilty, because his attorney worked magic. I can say without a doubt that there are people in jail right this second that shouldn’t be there and are in event. I’ve also seen plenty of video evidence where courts give the correct ruling, and justice is served. Is it a perfect system? Perhaps not, but I’ve seen it work more often than not. It needs work, but let’s not throw out the baby with the bath water, so to speak.
Well this seems to be a problem in this particular industry. Ubisoft a few years ago had this issue. I watched a documentary on people who worked at Atari and never moved on with their life because working at Atari was like living in a frat house. That doesn’t exactly fill me with confidence about what was going on there.
Absolutely. The humble brag of deferring to the legal system is a symptom of the same narcissistic disease. I prefer to mock them to actually engage them in their absurdity. I like to use 'internet' as a unit of measurement: e.g. "this guy has way too much internet" "lot of internet going on in this thread."
@jump You’re literally telling me to watch a Hollywood movie, when I’ve been a juror several times during my life and watched actual courtroom cases in person and via video.
I should point out that I was boycotting Activision before this and BEFORE the Blitzchung controversy.
Imagine being such a vile company that I actively want no part in buying any of your products (that I otherwise would want), and then twice finding fundamentally DIFFERENT justifiable reasons to not support your company. And I don't boycott lightly or often in the first place.
My only take is that I hope justice is served and at the bare minimum, every horrible person who works in this company (especially at top) leaves the industry and never returns.
@Purgatorium thank you for the explanation (genuinely). I don't have complete confidence in the US legal system to make the right call 100% of the time but I do believe the need for evidence is significant regardless. And relying on the courts to analyze and interpret that evidence is important too. I realize this puts me in the unenviable position of defending Activision/Blizzard, but I just want to know as best I can what happened and why before I start passing harsh judgement.

Another recommended court room drama: Miracle on 34th Street. Courtroom drama for the soul.
I’ve seen the remake but I’ve never seen the original, I’ve intended to watch it at Xmas for a few years now but never get around to it. Would it be weird to watch it in July?
You can read about the accusation and get a good idea of what happened. I know it sounds weird, but I really don't think a court is going to the truth any more than the media is.
And I'm referring to everyone here and I don't mean this as an insult but you (all) are not that important. You can go ahead and have an opinion, determine guilt and expect a punishment on this case. We're just people on an internet forum. We don't need such high-minded opinions of ourselves.

Santa keeps tabs for the naughty/nice list all year round. If you want that Switch Pro for Xmas, it's best to get on his good side early.
@Losermagnet that’s fine, it’s when I’ve got the smallest chance to be naughty. As long as he’s not watching my antics when I’m up in da club on a night out I will be on the nice list still.
@Losermagnet I’d like to see him try, he’s an old man with diabetes and I’ve beaten Wii Boxing on the hardest settings like twice now. It’s unfair really for him to fight me.
@jump the hardest setting of wii boxing!?! You're good then. Santa spent all his time playing Wii Bowling so, unless you stand perfectly still at a distance of 60 ft, I think you're fine. Watch out for his hook shot though.
