LOL shortest retirement ever. Good for him, but I hope he is not trying to help right a sinking ship.

For one thing get better resale value and Membership gives you discount buying this would help bring more into the paying membership to insure a market for them.
I read an article about this on IGN earlier. I wish him luck and hope that the sinking ship that is GameStop can be righted, or at least delayed. I don't care about corporate, but I am more concerned about the affected jobs and gaming communities if the business goes under.

Nothing Reggie can do but to possibly delay the inevitable. Specialty stores like Game Stop cannot compete with massive corporations like Walmart and Amazon. They can afford to break even or sell at a loss if it means destroying rivals. GS and other stores that are more specialized cannot.
The real world isn't Stardew Valley. It doesn't matter how many people try to defend small stores and specialty brick and mortar stores. It's just a matter of time.
But I don't blame Reggie, I'm sure they offered him a nice fat paycheck. I wouldn't turn it down either.

@Heavyarms55 I'll say this do you want to work at slave labor hours at Amazon quotas? I doubt you want to do that and they also charge you return fee as well. Walmart you open games there is no return. GS at least you can resale it back try that with Walmart and Amazon which deducts from what you paid for it if you didn't like it. I want my brick/mortar options not someone else telling me my options. Least not forget those places pay at minimum hours and you can't work overtime or get more hours. So if one isn't factoring that then they clearly aren't helping the employees whom do their best to sell the games. If one hasn't heard and seen the reports of how Amazon treats it workers then one should really take a enlighten and research this untold truth of Amazon Business practice.
Here's what I said at the other thread: Gamestop is far from perfect but if they go out of business it will NOT be good for the gaming industry.
Above is from another user reply.
This is what alot of NintenDoomed and GS Haters forget. They should be careful what they wish for. Also Remember Amazon returns comes at a cost unless manufacture recalls which is slim. People keep talking how Amazon is better but yet forget there is a charge to Return Merchandise that you pay. Otherwise I would be greatly happy for for those talking like it easy to pay for all my return at their cost. Then let's see them talk about this again. Also remember once you open games from Walmart you can't return but with GS at least if you don't like the game you can resale it back. To Amazon some will be returnable at your cost to send back and some you can't return so tell me again this is a good deal?
@SwitchForce 1. GS doesn't pay much better. There is little difference between working retail at Walmart working in an Amazon warehouse or working at Game Stop. 2. Workers have no power. What we want doesn't matter. Democracy is a myth, the world is an oligarchy. The rich rule over all. 3. The vast majority don't have the luxury to go out of their way to pay more. Everyone wants and needs to save money when and where they can.

@Heavyarms55 Amazon isn't saving you money and Walmart isn't saving when they also limited the buying limit as well. Workers truly have no power at Amazon and Walmart from the start how else do you think they can sell so low? Reminder the USA is a Republic there nothing in the Constitution stating a Democracy that was something Politicians came up with. Now you have to wonder about that now.
Everyone wants and needs to save money when and where they can.
At the cost of Amazon/Walmart Employee Paycheck thats the problem and hidden cost here and then people say wow it's cheap on Amazon/Walmart without thinking how did they get those prices so low and whom's paycheck paid for it.
