Topic: Miyamoto ready for his retirement

So it sounds like he's retiring soon.

This is a sad day for Nintendo fans. This man is legendary, it would be sad to see him go. Who will take his place i wonder?

You DO realize he's been "ready" for retirement for a while? I don't think he's retiring for a while, just getting "ready" for retirement.

Also, this is incredibly old news.

His last hurrah will probably be Zelda U or Pikmin 3.

He's been in the business a long time. He deserves a good rest. I have a feeling it won't be a for quite a while, though.

Doubt it. He'll most likely just handle less big projects at work. I mean, the man is working on new IP's as we speak. Doesn't seem like he's going to retire any time soon.

He's probably gonna be one of those guys who 'retires' and then gets bored and starts doing projects again. He won't ever be able to get away from video games.

Sakurai is basically Miyamoto II anyways, I don't think he's leaving yet.
But yeah even if he did we still have Sakurai, lol

Then, there's Kozumi and Sakurai and Aonuma, or however you spell it. They're like the second generation of Miyamotos. So yeah.

This is probably like Jermemy saying this is the end of the series at the end of each season of Top Gear.

actually, TV show 'seasons' are known as 'series'es in the UK. If you hear them talking about something that happened in 'series 1', for example, they're talking about something that happened in the first season of the show. i get the point you're trying to make, though (and that also confused me quite a bit before i looked it up a while back, i love me some Top Gear :3)
