Topic: Wii U: Black screen after online game Mario Kart 8

Hi,

I don't know if anyone has come across this or has any ideas but after playing an online match on Mario Kart 8 (physical copy) on my Wii U instead of returning to the 'lobby' area after the results the screen goes black on both the TV and the gamepad. It's like the console has turned itself off, but the console is still on. The gamepad is off (I think) as when I hold the power button it goes to the quick start menu, but if I don't do this and hold the power button on the console the gamepad flashes up saying it can't connect to the Wii U.

I phoned Nintendo UK's customer services who just said that they hadn't heard of this and that the only they could do is have a look at it if I send it in to them. I'll probably hold onto it for the time being and see how it goes, it doesn't seem to adversely affect anything.

Yeah, so don't know if anyone has any ideas, might be the case that I send it in to Nintendo.

The longer you use it, the more it could break, so I'd send it in soon.
