Hello in the last month I have been unable to make payments to Nintendo on the eshop. For the last few years I'd used both PayPal and my bank card with no issues. At the beginning of May these stopped working. For PayPal it said error making payments and on the card I received error code 2813-2470. When I contacted Nintendo they said contact the banks/PayPal which I did. Both my bank and PayPal advised there is no issue their end. I've deleted and readied my PayPal account with no fix. I've deleted all card details and tried 4 different cards from 3 different banks but no fix. I even tried a friend's card and again nothing. All these accounts have sufficient funds so that isn't the issue. I can't add funds to my account either. The only solutions Nintendo came up with are use the eshop cards and leave it for a month and see if it fixes itself. I've left it a month with no fix. While I understand I can add funds by purchasing eshop cards that doesn't resolve the issue. I have checked my account is set to the same region as my cards incase that was the issue.Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know how to resolve it?
Any help would be appreciated as I've list access to my online account and I'm getting frustrated by Nintendos lack of help

Thanks

If someone else from the UK/EU knows this thing better, please share. I'm in the US.

This seems to be an issue that can happen for UK, and maybe EU since early 2020, either it's a result of higher security protocols that went into place circa 2020-ish to prevent hacking & bolster financial protection, or possibly brexit. Contacting your banks was a correct step. I think at this point, you're waiting for the month long freeze that was triggered to end (forgive me if it's been longer than a month. I don't know if a couple more weeks will resolve it). Someone new makes a thread about this issue about 4+ times a year for the past few years. I dont know the logic behind it otherwise, and I think others will agree nintendo support in your region seems to lean toward unsatisfactory help, and virtually no explanation beyond what you've already covered.

For my bank, if I try to pay online, I sometimes have to authorise the payment via a OTP or the app. I'm wondering if, for whatever reason, this is happening or not happening with the eShop. Like it's been implemented, but it's not working as it's on the Switch. Or it's not been implemented at all, and therefore the payment cannot complete?

Or maybe people are using a card that is no longer accepted, something like an electron card?

Thanks both for your replies. The bank confirmed a test payment using a otp code went through when I set up the card but since then the payments haven't got to the stage of reaching them they are failing before that. The cards are types that are covered by Nintendo I checked that with them.
