Topic: Should I buy a nintendo switch lite?

Hi everyone, so I've been thinking of getting a switch lite since December to play animal crossing but the only thing that's stopping me is the joy con drift. I'm an anxious person so I've been reading articles and researching this topic and I'm scared that if I buy it, that's the only thing that's going to be on my mind. If it does happen I can swap the console for a new one but then that means my animal crossing save will be gone. Is the joy con drift a big and common enough problem for me not to buy it?

I've had the Lite since it came out pretty much and joy con drift has not once been a problem for me with it.

@Pati With the regular Switch, you still have the option to replace the joycons. I wish I had a better recommendation.

Note, if you bought a Switch Lite, Animal Crossing progress cannot be transferred to another console, in case you consider buying a regular Switch later on. Nintendo did this to prevent hacking/cheating with the game, but it's still dumb.

@Heavyarms55 I thought you framed this situation well a while back. Do you have anything to say for @Pati?

@Eddster Oh, that's really good and comforting to hear

@status-204 Since you've experienced the drift, may I ask, does it make games completely unplayable? I don't know if people are blowing this wayyy out of proportion or is it actually something serious.

@WoomyNNYes I agree, even if I experience the drift, I don't want to swap it for a new console and replay the things I already did again. I thought the lite was perfect to me as I have no intention of playing it on my tv plus it's cheaper but yeah the drift thing just really sucks.

@status-204 dang, sorry to hear that. I don't want to be fighting with my analog sticks so I guess I'll rethink if I should buy it or not.

I recommend to buy 3ds until they fix the drift stick problem
