Topic: I need help with Sonic Lost World.

Yeah, this game on Wii U, Steam, etc. But I'm doing the Steam version. Anyway, since this is a new game I'm playing through first time, I'm having a couple of problems - I can't seem to find the second Red Star Ring in the very first stage, Windy Hill Zone 1, and that boss in Silent Forest Zone 2 is confusing to find out how to harm him, in which he is on an owl and shoots a projectile around a circular platform I'm on. I tried all I can, but no luck, leaving me stuck here and eventually run out of time, unable to complete the level. Help, please?

It's serious, and even I regret having played this "not-quite-a-breeze-through-nor-good" game but feel as though I just want to finish it once and then not play it again. Sorry, I'm not in a good mood now so be careful with me. I just need to know the tips, that's all.

I don't think I can help with the boss, I can help you with the second red ring on Windy Hill Zone 1. Just keep hitting the bell, the final time you hit the bell will be at the top of a tree, and it will turn into a red ring. Had to refresh my memory a bit, as it's been awhile since I tried to get it.

BTW, I checked via the PC version too. I have the PC version in addition to the Wii U original, just for the convenience of having it on my computer. It was just easier to play on PC as I can respond here too.

@Sunsy OK...thanks for that at least. But the boss is being a real annoyance to me, and that's why it's the main story I want to see everything in. Sigh... And I must say the PC version has terrible keyboard controls, even when I choose to adjust it myself. Not just that, but for some weird reason my computer has this annoying thing which can be so off-putting. Don't know to explain it, but it's something which doesn't allow me to have three or more keys pressed or held. Sometimes when I use WSAD to move around, I get briefly stuck in place or in the wrong direction. I tried finding a setting like this in Windows mouse options to disable this but there doesn't seem to be any like that. So annoying. -_-

@AshleyGamer1995 If you are having problems with the keyboard, have you tried a controller with your PC? I personally don't like playing games on PC with a keyboard so I got a controller.

@AshleyGamer1995 You're welcome. Ah the age old problem of having three or more keys down, a problem I've had with most computer keyboards over the years, older keyboards would make a click sound too.

If you can get one, I'd recommend a controller. You can use an Xbox controller on PC, personally I use a Logitech F310 gamepad. The game plays a lot better with one, and controls feel closer to what the experience is like on Wii U (minus the touch screen obviously).

Ah forget it all now. The boss of Silent Forest Zone 2 must have a glitch that I'm unable to beat him. I asked my mom to look up the answers, and apparently there's an error in the Steam version. The "blue sparks" do not reflect back at the boss when homing-attacking his flying capsules. The guides online DID say they will work, but it doesn't HERE in the "PC" version. I tried about three more times, including the "kick capsules instead", but still nothing happens, only I take damage. So perhaps now to conclude, the PC version of Sonic Lost World was a mistake after all. Maybe I should of went for the Wii U version since actual game consoles don't usually have so many advanced settings and odd mechanisms like computers always do. Oh well. -_- End of topic I guess. :/

@Sunsy Yeah, I suppose controllers help, but that's a different story - their control sticks sometimes aren't good at diagonal directions, meaning that when I play a 3D game, the character doesn't move in the same speed rate as straight forward, back or sideways. He just slows down instead, therefore intending difficulty and annoyance. Again.

@Tasuki Yep, many times I used my own joypad to play on PC. I usually do that with retro games on emulators.
