I bought my little boy a Nintendo switch lite and I set up a profile and then added him onto the family group.
I went onto my account online and added funds, I thought it would automatically add the funds onto the switch however it hasn't. I have tried to link the account but it says my user name does not exsist. I have also tried buying it on my account but then it comes up with an error to say that I need to buy it on the switch
You have a Switch yourself, @Jj1909? You should be able to choose login via email, in case you've forgotten your username Once logged in, you can check your account details?
@Jj1909 Like BruceCM, I wonder if you have more than one Switch console. Did you try calling Nintendo support(aka customer service)? I haven't been clear on if the phone line is running in the UK, or if it has as full staff.

At the bottom there is a Nintendo youtube video regarding family setups. The UK Nintendo support line phone number is in there too. If it's stuff you've already found on your own, you can disregard.
