Topic: Gamepad + Wii U Pro Controller - local multiplayer

Hello to all forum users

Need little help and advice, first time Wii U user, never had a Nintendo :-/

I am planning to buy Nintendo Wii U 32 GB Premium Pack Mario Kart +
Super Mario Bros U bundle + Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze + etc....
and Wii U pro controller

My question is, with all latest updates etc... can i play local multiplayer
with my wife on gamepad + Wii U pro controller, or i need to buy two
Wii U pro controllers for games i mentioned?

Pretty sure you're fine, it just depends on the game, and those games are fine. (not sure about Tropical Freeze)

i read about boost mode, so i thought it is not possible to play New Super Mario Bros U
and New Super Luigi U local multiplayer without two wii u pro controllers

@uzi I do believe that except in single player, the game pad can only be used for things like making platforms in New Super Mario Bros. U so you would probably need another Wii Remote/Pro Controller for that.
I have had fun when using the game pad though, but I think it may be better if used with multiple people.

kazuo so i need two pro controllers, or i am fine with gamepad + one pro controller?
