Topic: 3DS eShop Not Downloading Software

So my 3DS XL has been working fine on the eShop, right up till the point where I brought a WiiU linked it to my Nintendo Network ID/eShop and downloaded the Mario Kart 8 Mercedes DLC. Since then I have been unable to download anything from the 3DS eShop to my 3DS XL, no new purchases, demos (I especially wanted to have a go at the Super Smash Bros demo) nor any thing previously downloaded. When I try to go to 'Complete Download Now' the little eShop character dances 3 times behind the icon and then it goes to 'An error has occurred' and says please try again later - but gives no error code!

I have tried; waiting and trying again later, rebooting the system, removing the SD card (checking it for errors on my PC), unlinking/relinking my NNID/eShop on both my WiiU and 3DS XL, port-forwarding on my router and manually setting IP/GW/DNS on my 3DS, disabling my router's firewall, trying it on another access point, changing my 3DS's regional settings, everything and anything suggested that I can find on the Interweb but nothing works! I've contacted Ninty but guess I'm going to have to wait an ice age to get a reply. I'm running out of ideas here and desperately want to have a go on this Super Smash Bros demo. Has anyone else had this problem? If anyone's got any other suggestions or ideas please let me know and I will be eternally grateful.

Well to cut a long story short I chatted to Nintys 'Ask Mii' and it was (yet another) data corruption. I tried an newly formatted SD card and it worked fine, copied the data across to an empty one and it didn't. :/ So there we go I've lost my DDL Fire Emblem save game data for the second time and now my DDL Pokemon X save game. Digital Down Loads? Forget it!
