RPG.

Real RPG, I mean. Not the JRPG stuff. I like that too, just not as much.

Rhythm games by far. Been my favorite since I was 4.

I guess Tactical RPGs or Strategy RPGs

Probably platformers, with honorable mentions for RPGs and action-adventures.

JRPGs with platformers in second.

It's a tie between strategy games, and just about every kind of RPG.

My absolute favorite is the Platforming genre.

JRPGs, no doubt.

Any sort of RPG, really good RPGs can last you a longer time than any other genre in my opinion and they're just really fun to play. Platformer comes in second place though, you just have to have a good platformer in your collection somewhere, even if it's just 1.

Why the accent aigu above the final "e" in the word "genre" in the topic title? Does every French word have to have one of those, just like every German word is allegedly full of Umlaute like ä ü and ö?
Anyways, I don't really care about genres. As long as it's good, I'll play anything outside of any kinds of simulations, be they racing, sports, flight or whatever simulations.
Oh, and I'm not really into RPGs, especially JRPGs. I liked those in the 16-bit days, but after that, not so much.
