@Marioman2020 Almost right. You still need to remove the surplus spaces in between the brackets to make it work. Just quote my comment to see what the example below looks like in text format/code: this is the result you're looking for...
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
There's no need for a next-gen Nintendo console. Just have the Switch adopt a smart phone-esq business model of incremental hardware updates every four years. Keep the hybrid design. Get the Switch V3's memory bandwidth over 100GB/s (nearly base PS4 in handheld form) and double the RAM from 4GB to 8GB. You know, give developers a little breathing room instead of asking them to get blood from the stone.

Return of Virtual Console
Far less reliance of previous generation console's ports
If they're smart they won't split their userbase. If they push the reset button on my game collection, I'll just go PS5 for a while while I wait for games for a whole new architecture.
If they were smart, they'd just dlss their way to 4k, and ride this massive switch userbase as long as possible. Developers can't ignore the money.
The other option is split the userbase back into console and handheld, design a new console and switch is now your gameboy. Except you are now competing against yourself, and Switch will win because it will have games.
I want to see them bring back dual screen gaming while keeping the hybrid model. The Switch is definitely lacking as a handheld by not being a dual screen clamshell like the DS and 3DS, not having a dedicated touch screen is a step backwards for some games and the Switch is too bulky to fit in your pocket. What would really be amazing is if they could take a step forward and not just let you fold the two screens, but completely detach them. Then you could still have one screen to use as a touch screen in docked mode or you could give one to a friend giving new meaning to the term "split screen multiplayer".
Some other things I'd like to see:
-Scroll wheels replacing the L and R button. They already have a patent for this, make it happen.
-ZL and ZR should be analog triggers again.
-Fix the Joy Con drift.
-4K, 60 FPS
-Return of VC with NES, SNES, and GBC to start, with N64, GBA, GC, DS, and Wii being added over the course of its lifespan.
-Backwards compatibility with the Switch
Lineup wise, I'd like to see the following (all NEW games unless specified):
-A completely new and original 2D Mario game
-A new sandbox 3D Mario game
-Another open world 3D Zelda game
-2D Zelda
-Mario Kart
-Splatoon 3
-Super Metroid remake by MercurySteam
-Metroid Prime 5
-2D Kirby
-3D Kirby
-Yoshi
-An actual sandbox/open world Pokemon game
-Luigi's Mansion 4
-An open world Star Fox game more like Starlink.
@Bolt_Strike, maybe in a few years foldable screen tech will be reliable/cheap enough for them to utilize it in a next gen Switch, so they can use one screen and still allow it to be used in a clamshell design & pseudo dual screen setup for games that require it.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
@RR529 That only fixes part of the problem, which is the ability to fold it and fit in your pocket. The other issue would be you couldn't use dual screens in docked mode, which that would not fix. That's where they would need the detachable screens idea.
Yes, some games don't need it. I think Nintendo values quick loading games enough that maybe we'll see SSD in the next gen? They'll definitely get cheaper. Or, is this idea too lofty? Perhaps it is. It would be nice though.
Beyond the obvious on Switch a upgraded GPU would show the most promise. Having at least two SD slots and game cart to allow digital down with a SD card adson to expanded base cart.
Everything @Bolt_Strike said, and I'll add that I hope to still be able to take screenshots/make clips and have a dedicated media tab for them as we currently do with the Switch. I also absolutely do not want to see any Nintendo game currently known become a cross generation game. Release the successor with new exclusives at launch.

If we want to be pedantic technically the Switch already has this. In a sense. What you're actually asking for here though is for the flash on the Switch to be faster than it is and possibly have a decent cache/controller. The way things have moved in that space over the last few years I think this is a relatively safe prediction. Especially if they make whatever comes next a "Pro" SKU that sells at a premium alongside the current OLED model
As for the other comments people have made? HDR I think is an easy thing for them to do, I think it's probably the lowest bar to clear. 4K/60 I think you're dreaming if you think we'll consistently hit it if the form of the Switch stays the same but as a resolution mode to support I think it's likely. These are both relatively safe bets
Other stuff? Analogue triggers I really want to see but I'm not convinced we'll get them. The last time we got them was on the original Wii Classic Controller, seems Nintendo has completely lost interest in them since for some reason. I'd love to see them but I'm not holding my breath. JoyCon drift? I know people go on about it and it does suck but.... the Joycon are detachable, not sure why people are begging for a "more modular" design for repair when the Switch is literally a modular design

"Don't stir the pot" is a nice way of saying "they're too dumb to reason with"
@TommyTendo
No, they're different things. They just tend to come together because the HDMI standard that added support for HDR was the same one that added 4K/60. Also generally the sorts of TVs that can do a decent job of HDR will pretty much also be 4K given 4K is MUCH easier to deliver for a TV manufacturer.
I fully expect the next hardware from Nintendo to do HDR which means it will also be able to output a 4K signal by default. What I don't expect is for it to have the horsepower required to actually run anything other than pretty basic titles at 4K/60. A new version of Wii Sports or something at 4K? Sure. Wind Waker 4K? Possibly. BotW 3 at 4K? Probably not. BotW 3 with HDR? Definitely
