I love this site, I really do, and I know it's based in the UK, but there is a good chunk of users from different parts of the world who haven't been able to do any sort of competition in what feels like years. What's worse is now we're blocked from making comments on these raffles/competitions. I also distinctly remember there being an article a long time ago saying there will still be competitions for other regions, and yet I haven't seen a single one since that post. Anyone else notice this trend, or any NL staff care to comment on why it's been so long?

although I agree with a competition to US (...I'm from mexico so... still the same for me XD) I think it is a little more complicated than just updating a post or something
And this is a UK website, so of course they're going to have way more European competitions.
It wouldn't hurt NL to throw in a US competition once in a while, would it?
Last time I shipped a game to the UK, it cost me $15 at the post. Unless the UK charges a lot less to ship all the way across the pond, I think it might.
They are UK based so it doesn't bother me that most contests are for the UK (most things they give away are gonna be promo's given to them so they will be UK region probably anyway). There are plenty of US based websites who hold US only contests and NintendoLife does hold contests for other members on occasion. I remember them doing some last holiday I think.
I would like them to allow me to view the comments though. I get not wanting me to post because they would get 100 complaining posts about why it is UK only.....but at least allow me to read what is going on comment wise for those who can join in the fun.
NintendoLife is one of the few sites where I can legitimately read a review and have my views/questions pretty much covered, it just bums me out they don't pander to their other-region followers. Also, I do check the updates every single day so I feel I am a pretty good follower of this site.

Nintendolife can only hold contests that the publishers or whoever provide them. It;s really not NL's fault cause its the publisher's that provide the prizes. Also region locking has a big thing to do with it too.
Also since Nintendo games are region locked it would make little sense to have a PAL game as a prize and someone in NA win it and not be able to play it (unless by some reason they have a PAL system). I say this is probably a big deal cause NL's sister sites Pushsquare and Pure Xbox have been having alot of contests lately and they are for all regions but that's because the PS4 and Xbox One are region free.
