Topic: Whats a good forum/place for Pokemon B&W

So i havn't played pokemon since Red and Blue Like 10 years ago on a B&W original gameboy. So i picked up Pokemon White, and i'm enjoying it a lot but is there a good forum or website or even both that i can talk to other people to learn about everything i've missed the past 10 years and 5 generations of games lol. I've seen some Pokemon sites around the interwebs. I think there's a topic buried in NL for Pokemon too I believe. Other than that, you more-or-less have to go actively searching for one.

Yes i checked Google, didn't really find anything forum wise that great. So I figured i'd ask the community and see what people would suggest as i'm sure as big as the games got there's probably a good one out there that i'm missing.

For the kinda thing you're looking for, you might be a bit hardpressed to find one... but I'll try to dig up something for you, unless someone beats me to it.

There is a user here called "Kadabra", he might be able to give you a hand with what you're looking for, I dunno.

Serebii.net, Bulbagarden... basically all the main Pokémon fandom websites have communities.

Of course, if you want to get completely anal, join a community that will greet you only with scorn, and consists only of the elite of the elite ('cos everyone else gets banned) who f'ing know they're the elite of the elite, they you could try Smogon. But be warned, it cannot be defined how intensely anal they are about competitive metagame - talking about the anime, card game, or even in-game non-competitive play? Bannable offense. I'm not even joking. _{So lol, I'd avoid that one.}

He's not joking. It does allow stuff like in-game battling discussion, and things that help with battling, but that's it. Battling. Anyway, a brief summary of the most popular communities is below:

Serebii is well known. News wise, he doesn't really have a soul. But his little reminders about when events are about to end are nice. Serebii's forums are also well known, but the bulk of them can be overwhelming. Also, I occasionally hear that they aren't always noob-friendly, but I'm not active on them, so I can't verify this.

Smogon and Smogon's forums are a little less-known, but they deal heavily in competitive battling. If you aren't into that sort of thing, then you may not be interested.

Bulbapedia, Bulbanews, and Bulbagarden's forums are all good. Bulbapedia is probably something you'll want to see a lot of the time, and the latter two are relatively good (I can't say much about their forums because I've never really taken the time to look at them that much).

Pokegym is heavily geared at the TCG, but they have a section dedicated to the games. Probably not the best, though.

PokeBeach is a mostly TCG site, but still with a respectable amount of video game news. Anyway, the forums are mostly the same way; mostly TCG, a respectable amount of VG. I can't say much else, because I am heavily biased towards it.

And so there are the most popular communities. There are some smaller ones, and so just ask if you are interested.

Awesome thanks for all the suggestions and help! This will definitely help me in learning everything ive missed out on in understanding all these new features. All i remember having was 150 pokemon and the ability to trade/battle with a cord between 2 systems lol. Now i got a 3DS and theres like 500 and a ton of features i have no clue about.
