I'm in the middle of playing it and my, what a game! After the first 8 hrs it shot up to my top 5 games of all time. Now at 50 hrs it's either my number 1 or number 2 favorite game of all time depending on how I'm feeling on a certain day.
Does that game get better as you go? I'm about 3 hours in, and haven't found much enjoyment so far.
Also, rayman legends, smash bros melee, and earthbound.

Yes, and once it gets better, you never want it to end.
The 1998 trio of awesome games in Ocarina of Time, Metal Gear Solid, and Half-Life are musts.

You've only played 1% of the game. Have you not played an RPG before? The first 5 or so hours are always the worst compared to the rest of the game.
It got the critical recognition, but Prime is just too difficult for your average Joe to get into, meaning it could never garner the same audience as a game like Halo. I still remember my first time playing it, fumbling around for the first hour trying to just get a grip on the controls...and ending up giving up and putting the game away for years...
Halo was widely loved because of its accessibility on top of just being a generally well-made shooter.

Maybe I'm reading the title wrong... apparently, Xenoblade Chronicles is a must-have... too bad it's more expensive that the Metroid Prime trilogy... What's this topic supposed to be about?
