Hey all! Recently I've been really interested in purchasing a New 3DS, and actually almost did at the store today, but ended up not buying it because I felt I lacked information. I am intrigued by Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, and since I played Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, I know I will enjoy this. I was also interest in Persona Q and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire/Omega Ruby and maybe Animal Crossing, but other than that, I'm not really sure what I'd play on it. Are there any upcoming games that I should be looking forward to, but more importantly, is the New 3DS worth the buy? I'm a college student, so breaking out my computer every time I want to game takes up a lot more time than I want to spend, so I felt like maybe it would be better if I could use something a little more casual, but I'm still on the fence about it. Can anyone give me some help in deciding? I really appreciate it!
If you're interested in specifically the games you listed, I'd just grab a Standard 3DS.
The New 3DS has a lot of great features, but there are only a few games out that are specifically for the New 3DS with Xenoblade Chronicles being the biggest one.
I'm sure you'd get lots of enjoyment out of the system and I would hope that more games in the future are New 3DS exclusive, but for now, there aren't enough games to warrant the purchase in my opinion and waiting a bit longer for Smash Bros to start up doesn't bother me.
I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite
