My hair is naturally curly, but the bloody barber ruined my hair when I went for my long-overdue cut about a month ago (at its current length, it looks more wavy than curly).
I went in feeling relieved that the barber had a really nice head of curls himself, but then another employee walked in while I was waiting, and he cut my hair as if it were straight hair, and now it looks too short and patchy. My hair has never looked good short and I hate having short hair with every fibre of my being.
After so many bad experiences over the years (and in my 30s, I don't know how much longer I will be able to hold on to my curls), I might just have to bite the bullet and go to an expensive curl specialist who actually knows what they're doing, and so I don't spent 95% of the time covering my hair with beanies and hoodies because it looks like crap, but that 5% when it does look good... chef's kiss I love the look and feel of curly hair so, so much, but it's such a nightmare to manage.
