I spent a long time deciding, and ended up buying the one called Vegas Movie Studio 15 Platinum.
I heard it was the appropriate choice for newbies, it's a recent product, and it was relatively well priced... Compared to other options it was actually cheap.
Windows movie maker was the only way to rev up a YTP back in the day, unless if you spent OVER 9000 cash on a video editing program. I also revved some up back in the day and movie maker, and, uhhh, let's just say my first one was rushed since I had to attend a wedding, so I rushed it as much as I could. While that YTP now has almost 30,000 views somehow, I didn't become a pooper since I instead became a flipnote hatena legend, as some would put it, lol.
Also, I remember beating Pokemon Pearl at that wedding party, only bring it up since I used Lucario in the champion battle, and he finished off whatever Pokemon with a SLAM DUNK!
I made Sheldon & Mr. Randoms back on Flipnote Hatena, now i'm a kangaroo mod that has a funko pop collection!
I'm not keen politics since that stuff is spooky, I'd rather watch SpongeBob over Fox News anyways!

Um, yeah, about that...let me know what it's like and what you can do with it. Also which version (Steam has been doing discounts with this series constantly), because I heard some have....issues and that 13 is the best or something.
I also heard that Movie Studio is basically Vegas Pro Lite, but apparently it can still do the stuff I'm wanting to do in a video editor.
I got home and spent at least an hour in the ToyCon Garage working out a new control scheme for the Vehicle Kit. Got most of the car controls, but I’m trying to map the accelerator to the Y axis on the gryo.

Y'know, Color Splash isn't so bad. I'm not entirely sure why some people hate it so much. Granted, it's the only Paper Mario game that I've played so far. The closest reference I have to it right now is Super Mario RPG.
@Lucarian welp I already paid for this one, it was a one time payment so I might as well learn to use it. Who knows maybe if I ever need something more professional I'll try that one.
@Joeynator3000 so far I've limited myself to adding text, cropping the view, dividing sections of the video, and speeding up some of them. But I see some other effects like chroma key, fades, cookie cutter, etc.
From what I've seen so far it doesn't seem too complicated for this kind of basic use.
I bought it from steam, it came with something called music maker 2017 and another program named Vegas DVD architect 15 Platinum, both of which I don't actually plan to use...
I bought it bundled because it was actually cheaper than buying it alone....
All I know is that it does let you animate the screen or whatever with keyframing. So I should be fine, just let me know if you run into issues or something. >.<

@SheldonRandoms I actually watched a few of your Flipnotes. I remember one where the Wonder Pets were flying around and singing outside your window so you went outside and shot them and they fell to the ground screaming and burning.
I thought it was hilarious and showed my older sister. Her response? "I hate white people." I still have it downloaded on my DS I think.
(This was you, right? Or am I going crazy and thinking of someone else?)
Why, yes, yes I am!
Dat was one of the pre-Sheldon & Mr. Randoms flipnotes, many which I revved up by waking up early (around 6 in the morning, sometimes later, sometimes even earlier). Main reason for such a time was because it was the only way I could record audio from the computer which was downstairs. That idea revved up one day not because I hate the Wonderpets or anything, it was just airing on the tv since I leave it on when I worked on flipnotes, and it was around the time I bought a super scope at a flea market, so in my head, I wondered, "What if I blasted them out of the sky for singing such a song so early in the morning?", and that's how that came to be. Also, fun fact, I created that entire flipnote without any help, used a flip camera with a dollar store camera stand to record whatever, then afterwards, would upload to computer, and take a stack of Wii games and place DSi on top to take pictures one by one of the video.
Also, you should show your sister dat flipnote again, somehow I think it'll be even better now dat the creator of said flipnote knows about such a swell response ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) and also said creator of flipnote is flattered to know dat others enjoyed my flips even back in the da-I MEAN TOAST!

Yeah I know, lol.
I heard that all version have issues with crashing or lagging, just let me know about that. Not sure when I'll get it, but I'm keeping an eye on them via Steam and Humble Bundle.

Oh well I used it for a few hours to edit two videos and didn't see any issues so far.
My backlog of videos is a bit full this week. For some reason anything I record off the SNES mini is super heavy (even though I use the same settings the videos tend to be twice as large), so the edited ones will probably take several days to go live.
Yeah I don't get that, like some of my videos that are super long have a decent size, but then other times when I record a shorter video, it's much larger...? o_0
Maybe it was Movie Maker being weird, I dunno...I'm sick of Movie Maker. xD
It also seems like my videos aren't always high quality no matter the settings, so yeah...I just want a more decent editor. lol
I've noticed that even though I keep the SNES games and the switch games with the same settings, the SNES games are super pretty and HD while games like Monster Hunter end up looking all low quality.
I'm not sure why. As I mentioned the SNES videos are also considerably heavier.
Yeah it's weird...like when I was recording MHXX and used Movie Maker to edit/save my videos. My Nightwing Malfestio video ended up being choppy and laggy, but then I do Rustrazor Cenataur...it came out just fine.
My SNES Classic videos all turned out just fine, even with Movie Maker, I dunno what's going on. lol
Hawhaw, I bought my little niece a toy tablet that comes with touch sensitive buttons and lights + sounds (ya know if you tap the ABC button it shows the letters and says stuff, etc).
They sent pics and she looks so happy with it, haha. I was afraid it would be a bit too much for a baby her age, but I'm glad she likes it.
Can't wait 'til she's old enough for more advanced toys!
So this more I gotta I woke up from 230-4am, then back up for work at 610. Felt worn out all day, got home, can’t cool off. Think I may end up staying home tomorrow. Apparently people at the admin building have sick children. I’ve had to be at that building yesterday and today
