They just introduced two new Sumatran Tigers to the public, and boy were they curious. One was walking alongside the edge of the enclosure checking people out, and even did a sort of pounce. He was probably like, "Hey, why is all this food gathering around me? This is some strange food."
They didn't have a big aquarium section, like the last Zoo I went to, which was a tad disappointing, but their penguin exhibit was really, really cool. They had a lot of them, they were very active, and they had like 4 or 5 different areas where you could view them from.
Another cool feature was the free roaming Red Kangaroos. They had no proper enclosure, and though you weren't allowed to mingle with them (obviously), there weren't actually any barriers set up that would prevent them from making contact with the guests.
Of course, there were all the other staple Zoo animals as well (Lions, Zebras, Elephants, Hippos, Giraffes, various snakes, birds, & primates, etc.). My biggest disappointment was that they didn't have a panda. Great time, though.

So today we were reading out of the textbook in my English class. I was looking ahead a couple pages, and couldn't help but notice that someone drew a bunch of Pokemon all over the pages! Like Jigglypuff, Pidgeotto, Diglett, Poliwag, Cyndaquil, etc. It was hard to concentrate on the book; I even finished a half-drawn Hoppip! XD
@RR529: Are you the one who used to have a bear avatar and the one who loves working at the Zoo?
.....Could've sworn that I met some guy here wanting to work at zoos.....
My bro is coming this week and boy....I don't know whether I have to be happy about it or panic about it.
Honestly, I just don't know what life to me is anymore. My parents aren't happy that I got a job, I can't get a desktop but instead I'm forced to get a Laptop and even getting something simple like Comics sounds like a nightmare.
I need a desktop for work. Like making games on game engines and playing those games that require more power than what my current laptop will ever have. I can't understand how the hell my dad can't get the point that desktops are better than laptops.
@PikminFan22: I can tutor you in math (look at my avatar. Does it make sense now?)! However that will work I'm not sure...
And I don't really like English, but I seem to write really fantastic papers! Way above my level, some people might add. Right now I'm writing my final project which is to write to a creative person. My creative person's Satoru Iwata! I'd like to get more people to read it too, since it's my personal tribute to him... in fact, I'm thinking about getting NLife to publish it but I really don't want... certain users to comment on it. Besides, underneath everything it's just a research assignment. What do you guys think?
@Blue_Blur: Reading's amazing! You get to play these little movie-like scenes in your head as you read the book! It's so much fun, especially when you realize you're lost in the scenes. What I don't like, however, is asking me to answer a bunch of predetermined questions about the essay or the story (comprehension). I like to discuss my stories in my own way and my own pace. In other words, I only like to read books for my enjoyment, not "research."
Sadly, seems like my love for science and math (calculus) has overtaken my like for books. I don't even have time to read one book. Hey, science and math are cool subjects, though!
@Vee_Flames: Science and math are cool subjects! I'd rather do math or science over reading any day. I just don't like books. I always catch myself thinking of other things other than what I'm reading. lol XD I can see how people like reading though, with the scenes in your head, and it can be quiet and relaxing. Reading just isn't for me, I guess. And I totally agree about the comprehension questions; they're not fun at all!
