Just happened apparently. I wasn't much of a fan, but alot of people talked about him and he is pretty well known I guess. So in that case, RIP, Dirty Dancer
I was wondering if this happened. I think it was on the front page of the enquirer (or sometime) about going home (or someplace) to die. That sucks. How old was he?
@Starboy91- He was in Roadhouse and an episode of MASH also. Last I heard, he was staring in a tv show, can't think of the name at the moment.
My favourite actor - Dirty Dancing, Ghost, Road House - all great, great movies. I have also had the privledge of seeing video of his ballet dancing days - he really was brilliant.
How could I forget Ghost? I really liked that movie, and Swayze's fit him perfectly. Of course, there's also Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg. Great movie. RIP, Mr. Ghost.
Great actor and a very talented guy. Such a shame. Surprised nobody has mentioned Donnie Darko yet. Classic film. And he was excellent in it as with all previously mentioned. RIP
I cannot say I was a big fan of his films, but I saw his interview with Baba Wawa and really respected his attitude towards the fact that he had terminal cancer and was simply going to make the most of the life he had left. He managed to survive far beyond the normal lifespan for someone diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and continued to work, so he gets respect from me for that.
My mother will be so sad, Ghost and Dirty Dancing were her favorite films and i have the "Nobody puts baby in the corner" scene forever etched into my memory whether i like it or not. He was a good actor and a good guy so R.I.P.
