Topic: Retro SNES game.. cant Name it.. help please

So, this story takes place about 15+years ago, I was playing on my friends console and we were rocking out to this game, it was quite the fun little game, anyways speeding to the end, i have been trying to figure out the name of this game for quite a while and it eludes me

here's what i remember from it

IT was an RPG game, when you turn on the game the Start screen had a Sword pointed downward with blood dripping off of it..

for gameplay;
it resembled an Final Fantasy theme, you had a party but unlike any of the FF games, the party followed you around the only character that stuck out in my mind was some green (vampire/monster) guy,

the only scene i can remember is;

it was at some kind of castle, the party follows you around fighting monsters, and it was kind of a medieval castle looking thing, dark gray bricks, red carpets..

anyways i know its not MUCH help but its all i can think of...

Games that i have checked for reference that did not seem like it are;

Castlevenia(all), FF(2,3,4,5,Mystic quest), Breath of fire, Secrets of.. in other words all the RPG games that i could think of

Shot in the dark, but was it Alcahest?

Lufia 2?

I am thinking Lufia as well maybe Lufia and the Fortress of Doom

honestly looks similar, but I still dont think that was the one, the more this goes on, the more it sounds like it was a dream! but it was a real thing!

7th Saga?

My first thought was Lufia as well but you said it isn't... When I think of the green guy... Maybe Chrono Trigger? Ok the Start-Screen won't fit there but I honestly can't think of any Start-Screen with a blood dripping sowrd Was it turnbased or Action RPG with real time fights?

so i did some looking, the game play was similar to lufia, but the battle scene was different, more like FF

it was turnbased i think, i mean im going years back, but from what i remember it was a wait and play kinda game,

and @Ryno i thought it might have been that too but not the same characters
