Okay everyone! How this voting will work is that each of the songs will be faced in a tournament style grid. And the placement of these songs will be placed at random! (You'll never guess which song is place where with those RNG conditions!) As tourney Rules each song that gets the most votes will move on to the next bracket and the song besides that will be eliminated from the tournament! And the surviving song that manages to get to the end of the grid wins! The website will be shown http://challonge.com/ul876cgr to get the tourney grid standings. The tourney will be starting at 3:00 pm EST so hang in there!

I'm pretty sure about Ruby for the first vote, but the second is harder. I reckon Gold's version slightly edges it out (but I think I prefer the original RBGY to either).
I'm sorry for the self interested digression, but this seems like the right place to ask; I had a go at writing a 'vallianous team' battle theme the other day and I'd like some feedback on it. This is its current (EDIT: Now no longer current, see below) form, but I'm thinking of raising it a semitone or two, and also slightly increasing the tempo. I'm also starting to feel its lack of proper 'intro' section... Anyway, do you think it sounds vaguely authentic?
Heh but Black 1 felt kinda subdued Pokemon XY has this too it has a reason to be subdued. Why could'nt it been have Black 2.
Heh, this is a Ruby gym theme I actually like. Had this not been placed with HeartGold (Kanto) I would've given it to.

I'm going with the crowd here and voting Black 1 and Heart Gold.
I quite like XY as a sort of 'audio backdrop' - it's got some nice sounds and a unique atmosphere, but it doesn't strike me as a memorable 'piece of music' in the same way as most Gym themes. I do really like that F-Zero-eque wah-wah synth thing though. Black has got some nice percussion, although it's not my favourite melody.
Heart Gold is a pretty solid take on a fantastic track. Admittedly, it's a little a bit all over the place in terms of instrumentation, but it's got a lot of vigour to it and I like it. Black 2 I quite like, but I feel the lack of wind instruments...
