Another one of these threads. O:
Well, I'd say not much, and something predictable. But let's not discuss this now just wait it out til or if it happens. :3
Now as for Nintendo's future, Nintendo needs to sell it's self to Sony. It's the only true way it'd survive!

Their next Console will probably include Virtual Reality.. to some point.. (After all how many more hooks can we get??) Or be a more powerful Wii U.. with a control pad that is HD.. and doubles as a portable TV type thing.. (Not that potentially speaking the current one can't) but they will have far more battery life.. (Usually Nintendo is good in that area once they adjust) The Portable.. will be a tablet type thing .. or.. they may just make a console with a portable combined.. so they don't have to seperate the two.. make the portable to where it can be a controller and have off screen play like now.. but make it to where it also has it's own disk slot.. so you can buy a game for one.. and it will be both.. and as thus.. be done with the next generation on both levels..
I am a wild and free Ninetails not a trainer.. get over it...
Nintendo's handheld division will likely be the same as it is with the 3DS: relatively cheap, many games made by Nintendo, and quite a few Japanese games pushing the system ahead. I don't think dedicated-handheld devices have as big of an audience as they used to, but there's clearly demand, and Nintendo absolutely owns that space.
As for their next home system, they'll probably take a lot of cues from the shortcomings of the Wii U. Their online setup will have to be substantially smarter when it comes to playing with friends and buying games, the system's gimmick will probably cost way less money, and Nintendo's studio's will be substantially larger to compensate for the ever-increasing scopes in games. It simply takes more people to make games nowadays; it's why Nintendo had to delay pretty much all of their titles for the Wii U this year (even Wii Fit U, a fitness game. Those aren't exactly hard to put out).

once upon a time there was a new user who made a thread about nintendo's future, in no time it became a chaos discussion about anything non-nintendo and the thread was locked. in anger the new user cast a curse at all nintendo sites for new users start chaos gaming war threads like his one.... there were a few rare times when the curse was broken by jokers flooding the threads with images getting them locked before it was too late. but no one found the cure for it. will a hero in green come to save it all? can a plumber go to the right castle at the first try? can ash catch 'em all? will the ghost behind it be sucked by the poltergust? or bowser will finally discover the step 2 of his own plan and achieve something by kidnapping the princess?

Whatever is next they won't screw up on system launches
They've screwed up two consecutive ones so another wouldn't shock me. Not that I think a botched launch spells doom for an entire generation though. I think Nintendo knew the first year of Wii U was going to be a rough one but it got the system out and will have about a 6 or 7 mil unit headstart on the competition when those systems finally launch.

After the Wii U's launch they did they're reorganizing so it wouldn't happen again in the future. Which is why I said that...

Well, they said exactly the same thing after the 3DS fiasco. Wouldn't get your hopes up.
@8BitSamurai but the "3DS fiasco" ended being a great success after a while plus you must be really dumb to make the same mistake thrice unless you have a great trick up your sleeve. so I agree with @Yukari_Sendo

They didn't say anything about reorganization after the 3DS launch though, they just said they made the mistake of relying too much on 3rd parties. As for the Wii U they just kept delaying their own games, and the reorganization is supposed to fix that.

They said they had learned from the mistakes of the 3DS launch, and ended up doing most of the same things with the U (Too high of price, bad marketing, lack of games).
But, I suppose we're just gonna have to wait and see. Unless one of us is psychic or something. It could very well be a good launch, but from the experience I've had with the past two, I'll be waiting.
1) Make a competitive home console with better hardware
2) Make a standard joypad or similar to ps4, support also the wii mote for specific games
3) Support third parties like capcom, konami , square, falcom, namco etc
4)major investments on home console and not on handheld as they do, in this market hand held are losing ground because of tablet and smartphone so it is useless to invest more on hand held when your wii u is dying. They will finish to lose in both markets
5) Create new ip or new games for old ip like mother or startropics or f zero or starfox,
we like zelda mario but a couple of game for those ip are sufficient
6) lower prices for virtual console games
7) the innovation is for games.
Is useless to create new odd hardware like wii u gamepad and next produce standard game similar to the old gen like nsmbu sbros donkey ktf pikmin 3 mario kart 8
so if you change the hardware but the games remain the same then is useless to change the hardware
try to innovate the games instead,

1. This is subjective
2. They did. It's called a pro controller
3.Support third party's? What on earth do you mean by this? The problem seems to be the other way around.
4.The 3ds is selling very well. It is a lot harder to make money on the tablet market. This web site alone had published several articles about this subject.
It's the reason why indies are flocking to the eshop.
5. They have constantly been creating new ip's. Have you played Harmono Knight, Fallblox, or Steal Diver? (Well scratch steal diver. I'm the only one who liked that one.) These are all very recent. They are working on an original ip for the wii u now.
6. They are not very high actually. People have just been spoiled by roms and so called free to play games. A burger and coffee at a restaurant runs about 14 bucks. The tip for an hours worth of service should be at least 3 bucks (unless it's awful) A nes eshop download for a full game is 5 bucks. PERSPECTIVE
7. Two of the games on your list haven't even been released yet. I play pikmen with the wii mote while running the pad on a stand as a map. NSMBU was a quicky. That is one of the biggest problems with the launch. The first games Ninty released are all sub par. Not bad per-say but not launch worthy.
Do you even have a wii u? If so what games have you played on it?
You sound uninformed.
