houston rockets here we went young this year its going to be a good year for us and we have that boy "LIN" on our team...

I am a fan of the Celtics, but I just don't know the outcome for them this year... hope they at least make it to the playoffs. If so i'm rooting for them even if they lose cause every year the best series with drama, competitiveness, omg moments in the playoffs are the ones the Ce;tics are playing Bulls Celtics 08'-09' was the best in the history!!!!

It all depends on how ready is Rajon Rondo to be the captain of the team. Other then the Celtics I see the Mavericks have manned up really well this off season, I'll be keeping my eyes on them as well.

What i'm really hoping this year is for someone to take down The Heat and The Lakers before the finals. I never liked top tier teams.

T-Wolves. Not expecting much, only for them to be better than last year. Still not a playoff team though..

Rolling with the Thunder (get it, rolling thunder ), as always! Each year we make it one step further in the playoffs, and if that's true this year, they'll be NBA Champions in 2013!

I have a deep seeded fear that they'll take a step back and not make it out of the West this year, however. As with the Yankees in MLB, anytime the Lakers have a down period of like TWO YEARS where they haven't won the championship, they just go out and get the best players available like it's nothing. They never rebuild, they just reload. I have my doubts that the Thunder will win the Western Conference this year, or future years with the Lakers apparently back in Dynasty Mode by adding Nash & Howard, and not even sacrificing Gasol. Even if they did somehow get by the Lakers, the Heat unexpectedly tore them up in The Finals, and that could happen again. We did squat in the offseason to improve, while everyone else did.

Then, since we're NOT a big market team, one of them is just waiting in the wings to snatch James Harden if we don't resign him. Then, we could be a mere conference semi-finalist, with the likes of the Clippers or Mavs leapfrogging us. It's hard to get back to The Finals (if you're not the LA friggin' Lakers). It took 16 years for the Seattle/OKC franchise to make it back to The Finals. Seattle may be back in the NBA before we get back.

The Thunder have the makings of being the Utah Jazz with Stockton/Malone. Making many conference finals and a couple of NBA Finals, but never getting over the top. Or, we could be the next San Antonio Spurs and capture multiple titles. Only time will tell, but I will feel better when Bryant and Nash retire in the next few years (of course, the Lakers will just reload again, so... ).

The loss of J Kidd(the best point guard of all time) and Terry will hurt them, but Idon't know I kind of like how they're rollin'. We'll just have to see how this year treats them.

Other then that, the Spurs have been quiet, what might they be planning? Best record in NBA last year(or 2nd I don't remember) How long will those old geezers keep going?

Some I'm in Oklahoma it's got to be Thunder. Didn't care much about basketball till got Thunder here then I started watching it more.

Knicks fan from way back. Finally get to be proud of the team again. The Knicks bench could make the playoffs this year: Marcus Camby, Rasheed Wallace, JR Smith, Iman Shumpert (when he gets healthy or Pablo Prigioni for now), and Jason Kidd. Its nice to have a team that's 12 deep again.
