Not expecting much from my Cubs this year. Last year we just had the injuries stack up. August was just a bad month for us. I know we have a few of our players going free agent Hendricks being the big one. I guess we will see what trades and free agents we pick up.

@Magician He does that every year. It's just a way to redo his contract in a team-friendly manner. It's why they keep only signing him to one year contracts (well, two years with an opt out after one, which he always takes). He has already said that he is coming back next year, and only to the Dodgers.
Figure 10-years $600m for Juan Soto. Where's he going to go? He just turned 26 and hasn't even entered his prime years yet. Anyone who signs him will be getting his best years. And he'll have four or five good years left in the tank (barring injury) after that deal ends.
Crazy how some folks hit the life-lottery like that.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,529 games (as of November 20th, 2025)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 3 games (as of November 23rd, 2025)
Now if the Brewers can come together and pick up some more pieces we can make another run at repeating the central devison and go deeper into the playoffs.

Opening day is upon us. As always I am excited to see how my Cubs do this year. We had an ok year last year. We were fine till August and then injuries just got us. I was hoping to see my Cubs live this year but there's rain in the Forcast for Tuesday's game so that's a bummer. Ah well there is always next year.

@Xyphon22 Yeah I don't count that B.S. that was the stupidest idea to make those games count for the regular season in the middle of Spring Training. Why they didn't count 2 Spring Trainig games against all the other teams and only Dodgers and Cubs made no sense.
So yeah don't care what others say our record is 1 and 0 right now.

Great first major league game in West Sac last night. Cubs stomped the A's. In all seriousness though I think we are going to see some high scoring game from West Sac as it seemed alot easier for the players to hit home runs, then again the park was designed for a minor league team. Will see how game 2 goes tonight.

Well Justin Steele is out for the rest of the season, having surgery done this morning on his elbow. Not sure if it was Tommy John's or what but regardless he will be out for the rest of 25.

Damn another heartbreaking loss for me. Ryne Sandberg had passed away at 65 from cancer. Much like how Ozzy was for me for music and Hulk Hogan was me for wrestling Ryne Sandberg was that for me for baseball. Not quite sure why I gravitatd towards him but as a kid I remember him being one of my favorite players and always watching him and the Cubs play. Thoughts go out to his family friends and fans.

Damn I figured we wouldn't make it pass the Brewers, was hoping but with our bullpen. Still not a bad season considering all the injuries we had especially to our pitchers and the big one losing Justin Steele for the year. As they say there is always next year.
