I much prefer Halo... it's just more my style. I'm not a big Adventure fan though.... I just prefer running and gunning.

Metroid is more my kind of series. I like long adventure games, but I do wish that more Metroid games had better multiplayer, like Metroid Prime Hunters. Having said that, Halo games are still a lot of fun and, like Odentnin said, I think they have done more for their genre in general.

And yes, Metroid Prime Hunters was awesome until hackers and boring alt spammers ruined it. Even despite injuring my wrist at the time I still played that game as long as physically possible when it was still popular. If the question were specifically MPH Vs. Halo, then MPH takes the cake. Brilliant game, desperately needs a Wii sequel that will likely never come.
Link Hero, you said Halo is "overrated." If you think people over rate something, you're giving an opinion on their opinion (that they rate it too highly, and therefore have a somehow inaccurate opinion), not an opinion on the game itself: hence Panda's comment. I'm sure you just meant "rate it higher than I would," but that's how it is generally used and interpreted.
Just because someone says a product is "overrated", it doesn't necessarily mean that said person thinks that said product is "bad". It just means that said person doesn't necessarily think it's as good or great as others say it is. Oh, my stars, I didn't realize this thread was in the General Discussion forum.

You said it with your attitude. You were effectively saying "of course Metroid was worse, why would anyone think any different?" If that wasn't what you were trying to say, you should've expressed your opinion in a different way, like this:

You see, if you had just said something more along these lines, you wouldn't have had any problems. Just saying.
Umm, even though I prefer Metriod over Halo, it does not mean that I'm a fanboy. There are a lot of games that I like that are not made by Nintendo, or even on a Nintendo console.

Halo. The fact that none of the metroid games actually has an online play makes me want to cry.
Metroid Prime Trilogy has multiplayer, online multiplayer, and friend codes. Please get it, and don't cry.
BTW Metroid > Halo in my opinion.
