I have a question. My iPod isn't working anymore, but I have iTunes on my PC. can I put my iTunes music on some other (cheaper) MP3 player until I can get another iDevice?

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

Their music hasn't been DRM protected for about 4 years

Yes, you can put the music on a different device. If it's an MP3 player, you may need to convert them to MP3 first (iTunes use AAC format that your MP3 player probably won't recognize) - there's an option in iTunes to do so (I can't remember offhand where it is, Google will help you). If you want to burn to a CD, drag the songs you want to into a playlist, right-click it and click 'Burn to CD'

Oh thanks! My dad has an MP3 player he got as a gift 3 or 4 years ago, but he's never onced used it (just not his way of listening to music), so I'm going to ask if I can use it until I get a new iDevice.

Provided you bought iTunes music after 2008 at most, there's no DRM. However, they're encoded in AAC format (.m4a). To convert it to MP3 to use with your player, select your music, go to 'Advanced' on the menu bar and click 'Create MP3 version.' If it isn't showing, you need to enable it in the preferences window. Hope that helped.

I didn't get iTunes until the end of 2009, so I should be good then. Now I just need to figure out how to connect the MP3 player to the computer (it has a place for a mini-USB port at the bottom, but we don't have any mini-USB stuff. Also, our computer only has ports for normal sized USB).
