@Haywired According to Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_game_consoles_by_region), it was Mega Drive's 2.1 million to SNES's 1.7 million - so yeah, pretty close.

I'm not sure how accurate the dates are, but interestingly, it seems to say that the 1.7 million SNES number is taken from March 95, and given that the SNES would still have another two full years on the market as Nintendo's home console before the N64 would release in the UK, that's probably not the final number. There's no citation for the 2.1 million as being the Mega Drive's final number (it just says it's from 2008, which would suggest that it most definitely it is, though 2008 seems a bit random). That whole list is quite bizarre. It says the PS2 only sold 1 million in the UK, but it's based on a figure from 2001... I'm guessing the people moderating this page haven't been paying too much attention to it.
