Topic: How Was Your Memorial Day?

I just went to a cookout at my grandmother's place, hanging out with family, watching the AMC "War Heroes" marathon, & thanking those that served

So, how about you?

Memorial Day? What's that one about?

Pretty un eventful. I forgot it was Memorial Day...
The day is still young but all I've down so far today is play a few levels of DKCReturns 3D and fill out a transfer application. I had plans but they fell through. :/

I played 3DS all day, so business as usual.

It's a U.S. holiday where we remember, thank, and & honor those that served in the military.

Festivities usually revolve around visiting graves of our loved ones (extending beyond those who served in the military), barbecues, and visiting family. There also tends to be a lot of military movies on TV throughout the day.

I thought Memorial Day was for those who died in a war and Veterans day was for everyone who has served or is serving.

Regardless I didn't do much just spent time with the family and Barbequed in the rain.

Sitting here doing review packets for finals. While doing these, it has occurred to me that we haven't learned anything new in chemistry. How come all these equations feel like the same friggin thing over and over again? Why do I have to name a Nonaselenium octaoxide inside a space that's smaller than a single inch?! Why? WHY?! WHY?!

Not much, just bbq'ed and skyped with my brother who's in Europe..

Oh, so it's kinda like a military-exclusive day of the dead (based on what Tasuki added), that's quite nice.

As for me, I stayed at home all day...the usual

We don't do it in Canada so partied and partied with people and served a nice turtle platter >:3

I had to go to work at Stop & Shop, it was really busy...........really really busy, I had to return the shopping carts by the entrance while it was really hot outside, and I was even more hot because they make you wear long pants, shorts are not allowed. The bottle machines kept getting filled and I had to change them, many, many times. I kept getting thirsty, so I bought powerades, but the lines were so long, that it took over 10 minutes just to get one. I did this all for 7 hours, went home, and played some Video games. Wow, this all sounds swell, I think i'll do this tomorrow as well.

I've felt like garbage all day, my allergies combined with a cold are making me miserable.

My cat got his foot stuck in a glue trap (for mice) so I spent some hours dealing with that. That's just about it.

Good, I saw Star Trek: Into Darkness for the second time.

It was very filling...

I celebrated memorial day weekend by having dinner at a family friend's house & it was delightful

Pretty crappy to say the least.

I got Swimmer's Ear, I missed John Cena getting his *** kicked & I only ate cereal the whole day.

Wasn't able to do anything other than watch a shop for my sister in-law and make a 7-hour drive from home to my school town. But something happened along the way and the trip had to be halted for 4 hours, and then spent the remainder of the trip overnight D:
