Topic: Have old game pak batteries died on anybody yet?

With the Zelda 25th anniversary, it's gotten me thinking (and worrying) about something: To my knowledge, this was the first game pak with a battery to save game information. Supposedly they last for so many years (I've heard different numbers). I've been lucky as can be. All my battery-save games for the NES still work, including The Legend of Zelda. Game saves on two of my Super NES games, Final Fantasy II/IV and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past have messed up, but I think that has to do with some issues with the system. So, my question is: Have any of you had game pak batteries die, leaving you completely unable to make saves? Did you send it to Nintendo for fixing or do anything about it?

Well more recently my copy of FFVI (III) went out... Sad thing is, it was my first time playing through it and I was already a couple hours in D:

A couple of years ago my copy of Pokemon Silver went out, but luckily I had Crystal, and it's battery still works to this day

Pokemon Crystal and Pokemon Red both died on me, so I just replaced the one for Crystal, and started a new file.

What about Game & Watch Gallery 4.

No GBA games have batteries for save files as far as I am aware. Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald only had a battery for the internal clock

Interestingly enough I've had plenty of GBC batteries die but I still have NES games that can hold a save to this day.

My Pokemon Gold battery died (the game still works, but it won't save anymore), but other than that all the rest of my games work fine.

I've been gaming since the NES days and I can honestly say I have never had a battery in a game cartridge die on me.
