I really enjoy sushi and I would eat it much more if it weren't so expensive. This sounds strange but the fact that Nintendo games and sushi are both Japanese makes me enjoy sushi even more!
Yes, it is delicious. But I don't get why people think it's raw fish. There are so many different kinds of sushi. If you're new to sushi, and good starter is a basic California Roll. It's got crab and is fantastic.
It's on my to-eat list. There's nowhere around here that sells it though. Only one I've ever seen was in London, which is a £120 3-hour express train journey away D:

Actually, the term sushi refers to the rice itself. There are many american created sushis that have no raw fish, or any fish at all for that matter.
And how can you not eat fish? Do you just mean raw, or what, because there are so many different kinds of fish with different flavors and different textures. There are also thousands of different ways of preparing a fish, whether cooked or uncooked. Tilapia is a good fish for people who don't like the fishy taste, because it has almost no flavor, which means one could add any flavors they wanted to the fish. Fish is high in omega 3 fatty acids, which helps your heart.
sorry, I was just never that picky, especially when it comes to ENTIRE ANIMAL GROUP cough cough
Usually when people think "sushi", they think of either raw fish or California rolls, but there are hundreds of different ways to make sushi, not always with raw fish, not always with meat of any kind. It doesn't even need to be made with vegetables, or seaweed, for that matter. So to say "Do you like sushi" is like saying "do you like meat?"; there are just so many different kinds it's hard to say. It's seems like it's become kind of the cool thing to say "I like sushi," but a lot of people don't know much about it. If they did, I think people who think they like it would realize there's more to it than they know, and people who think it's gross or have never tried it will figure out that it's more than they think it is. </rant> So, yes, I love sushi. I actually make my own sushi all the time. I'm not trying to say I'm a professional sushi connoisseur or anything, but I do love sushi, and I make a damn good makizushi, if I say so myself.
@grenworth: What do you put inside? I find nigirizushi a lot easier to make. I don't feel like ordering a bamboo mat thing and some algae sheets from the internet just to make makizushi, when I have 2 sushi places not far from my home.
Edit: Did any of you people knowz that the 'wasabi' stuff that is at most american sushi places is actually just green colored horseradish, and real wasabi is a lot harder to find/grow(and therefore, expensive) and is also more mild in flavor(not as spicy). Kinda like 'cinnamon'...
