When I first got my Wii online, I would pretend that I was the "Wi-Fi Warrior", chosen to combat & defeat nefarious hackers, by overcoming their cheats with pure skill & saving the world of online gaming.
This carried through to when I got my 360 online, when I acted like I was moving on to much more dangerous missions.
It didn't matter that I might not have been particularly good at a certain game, it was just fun (and corny) pretending.
So, do you have any corny gaming habits to share?
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
I shout out commands and stuff when playing Pokemon. When I'm in an intense battle I always say something like "C'mon! I know we can do this guys! I love you all and believe in you!" Sometimes I shout out the name of the attack and point my finger when it's the final blow. I also give characters specific voices in the Mystery Dungeon games.
Back when I used to play the original Smash Bros, I'd sometimes pretend everyone was Dragon Ball Z characters (Mario=Goku, Fox=Vegeta, C. Falcon=Frieza, etc).
Of course, we then got a PS2, which actually got real DBZ games

When playing Pokemon, I always yell at my pokemon like they could hear me like "Come on! I know you can beat them!" And then I have pretend conversations with my character and the other trainer like "Oh Konata, you were so much better than me"
...Oh crap, did I just mention these out loud?

I like to imagine all the games on my 3DS & Wii U work like in the movie Wreck-It Ralph where all the characters from every game I have on my systems interact with each other in some big plaza when I'm not playing with them.
And whenever a game glitches out on me I blame it on some rouge video game character going turbo.
I'm known to scream out Falcon Pawnch in suitable situations, but that's it.

I think I have done that few times, when I'm playing an online match.
I but I never say nice things to my pokemon, its more like "Fail me, and I will be having Dragonite bugers for dinner".

Sometimes, I fool myself into believing the little pixel/polygon people and monsters I play as/with/against/etc are actual sentient things, sometimes even with feelings.
Not really gaming, but back when I was in Primary school and everyone had Beyblades, we would shout at them to attack and defend just like in the anime.
And at some points while playing fighting games, or just about any game really, I purposely get hit by a few attacks every now and then just so it's more exciting. Making stupid commentary is also something that I do, but I feel like that helps me keep my train of thought while playing plot based games, so I don't completely forget what the story was about.
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
