Can anyone confirm or deny if the Gamers Club Unlocked gets you a discount on eShop cards? The description of it sounds like it won't, but I thought I read somebody's post on here a little while ago that said they did get a discount when they bought them (but I can't find it or remember where I saw it). I'm just trying to figure out how much I can get because I want to take advantage of the 15% off this weekend, and I can get even more if I get another 10-20% off on top of that. Thanks.
Gamer's Club Unlocked does not work for eShop cards, PSN cards or Xbox Live cards, nor for hardware (like consoles, controllers, etc). However, it does work on games bundled with hardware such as the Smash Bros GameCube bundle or the NintendoLand Luigi Wiimote bundle. It also works for Amiibos.
Nonetheless, I have good news for you. Best Buy is running a Black Friday sale for eShop cards online and in-store tomorrow and Friday. 15% off and up to 5 cards per order. As an elite member I received early access to their Black Friday sale, and bought five $50 eShop cards in one order, and another three $50 cards in a second order. So I know the deal is good.
Be sure to check their website early tomorrow because you wouldn't want to wait and end up seeing them sold out or something. I would advise stocking up now because we don't know when the next sale will be.
