Nobunagun is definitely worth the recommendation. Other than that, pretty much every animé from this and last year (except for Nobunagun and Space★Dandy) was a thorough disappointment to me (especially Kill la Kill, which started well, but failed hard around episode 16 onward). I wonder when animé will finally return to good scripts and turn away from shallow/generic characters, moeblobs, and misplaced fanservice....
Now I'm waiting for the second season of Space★Dandy.
Former Neon Alley members are getting a free 2 month free trial too Hulu plus ^_^ So i guess i'll check it out.
I noticed on the neon alley section they have some anime from the old toonami jetstream service. The prince of tennis,Hikaru no go. So awesome!
Have you guys talked about Torikos anime cancellation yet?? Just to free up a time slot to air DBZKai they are ending the show...what were they thinking??
Just finished Kill la Kill! Wow, what a show! Honestly, the ending felt anticlimactic to me. I guess I was just expecting a crazier fight. It was definitely ridiculous and over the top at least. Well, I really enjoyed this series. It was incredibly fun. The characters were lovable and memorable, even the villains leave an impression. Overall, I loved it. It was zany 'til the end! Sad to see it's over now. Can't wait to see what studio Trigger has to bring us in the future.
EDIT: In retrospect the fight was indeed awesome and sufficiently over the top. I mean come on, SPOILER
They took it to space!! SPOILER
Well there next work is set to be an adaptation of some popular harem LN...seems like a way to get more money so they can fund more original projects. Up till their only works have been Inferno Cop, Little Witch Academia, and Kill la Kill. Other than the LN adaptation, there is the Kill la Kill OVA coming in September, and Little Witch Academia 2 in Winter.
Anime watching: Mobile Suit Gundam, Lupin III, & Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable
Reading: The Golden Compass
@Rocko52 I think because of the censoring of the story in the anime. To use another anime as an example look at Hunter X Hunter. When it was redone they studio could have easily just started from the Chimera ant arc,but they reboot it from the beginning.
Toriko hasn't been doing well in merchandise, also the movie didn't do well either.

It's too soon though. The Toriko anime started not too long ago. HxH got a reboot because it was a long time since the original anime started airing. It's the same reason why Fairy Tail is continuing instead of getting a reboot.
Why do people point to their wrists when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

I think they were thinking of taking a break then doing Toriko Z or something like that. They caught up with the manga, which recently hit a timeskip point.
Well, got myself some of the new animé for this season. Only the first episode of each. I'll probably have a good impression by episode 6 for each.
Blade & Soul disappointed with the very first episode already. Boring characters, unfitting designs, and pointless fanservice - even the (very short and one-sided) fights sucked. Majin Bone is obvously another typical franchise series. You can already see the lines of toys and cards coming. Well, it's from Bandai, so it's inevitable. But the first episode wasn't too bad, though not even slightly creative or visually impressive.
Then we have selector infected WIXOSS. Realy weird, from the go. A card game animé sounds lame at first, but the story seems very promising and seems to try going in a very dark direction, despite its somewhat too moe visuals. The only one of those three I could recommend.
Bleach - I'm not too invested in this arc, but at least the action tonight was decent (this arc has definitely been drawn out too long though. I thought the series was supposed to end soon, they must really breeze through the Fullbring arc once they actually get to it...)
Naruto Shippuden - Tonight's episode was pretty good (the series overall hasn't been fantastic, but it's been consistently entertaining).
One Piece - Flashback episode. Good to see how they got their start (but man is that woman's face creepy).
Blue Exorcist - This episode was pretty standard stuff for this series (surprising bad guy reveal at the end, though).
Black Lagoon - Holy cow can she kick butt. The action in this one is really exciting.
They have a new look for the block, and maybe it just needs to grow on me, but it doesn't feel very "Toonami", IMO. Also, they reviewed Titanfall tonight: 9/10.
Time to look up the next InuYasha on YouTube.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
Watched the first ep of Mushishi season 2, and we're definitely in for a smooth ride. It feels just like the first season, except the animation is much smoother!
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
