Topic: A New Pokemon?!

I know this sounds crazy, but I actually think we're dealing with a brand new Pokemon! First, anybody remember that Pokemon AR Searcher App? That hidden bird Pokemon shares no similarities with any other bird Pokemon in the series!

Damn, I didn't expect that. Guess I was wrong. Another new form of a legendary pokemon was unexpected.

Come on guys. It's obviously that archeops thing or it's evo. No way it's a new Pokemon.

I had this discussion with someone else earlier, but the beak length and the wings are different between the two. There's two bumps near the end of the wings on the hidden pokemon and, like I said, the beaks are different.

It's not really impossible, Ho-oh was revealed before Gen 2. I don't think anybody found a extra code to Archeops that indicates an evolution, otherwise we would have known about it already. Plus, there's a whole list of rumors suggesting that the new pokemon is linked to the 3DS.

• The rumored New Pokemon advertised in Movie 15 Merchandise, and the silhouette seen in the AR Reader, is named Toridii (トリディー), with its name written out as ToriD in the magazine in English. It’s a Red and Blue bird-like Pokemon composed of prism-like crystal wings, and is said to be a Dimension Pokemon. The “head” on the silhouette is actually it’s crest, which is a red-and-blue spiral pompadour basically. Electric/Flying, despite its color-scheme.
• ToriD has a cameo appearance in the Meloetta Short, and is apparently the Pokemon responsible for all the old cameo Pokemon appearing…he brings them all together. Players who bring their 3Ds to the movie not only obtain the Giveaway Pokemon Meloetta, but will also be sent a special 3D video focusing on ToriD through SpotPass, said to reveal its secrets.
• There is a special sidequest in Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 involving ToriD and featuring 3D effects, unlocked only when playing the game on a 3Ds system (think the Advanced Shop in the Zelda Oracle games) and by finding ToriD in the AR Searcher. Doing so is required to trade the Pokemon in AR Searcher to Black 2 and White 2.

• Homika’s Gym features a rhythm-based mini-game, and it confirms Shizui’s Gym is the one with the lillypads. Homika is confirmed to use Koffing in-game, and Shizui has a Mantine.
• New Grass-type Gym Leader revealed, name is Chisa (チサ). He’s an older guy with wicked sideburns that resemble the Libra Scales, and he’s a prosecutor apparently, involved in a case against the Six Sages from BW. Gym is a courtroom involving judging type match-ups. His main Pokemon seems to be Ferrothorn.
• Old Gym Leaders are returning alongside new ones, shows Chilli, Burgh, and Iris with updated looks. Chilli now is wearing a greaser outfit and has established his own Gym as the three brothers apparently split up. What happened to Cilan and Cress, the magazine asks. Iris is older and more mature looking, fusing her pigtails into one big pony-tail that resembles wings of a dragon. The impression is that she is the Gym Leader in both versions now. Burgh has a top-hat and cane now, Willly Wonka is one way I saw him described, and has opened up an art gallery in Nacrene. Is he now the Gym Leader there? Magazine also shows art of Houndoom, Altaria, and Vespiquen around them, so that’s probably their new Pokemon.

Either Ho-oh or Archeops, not a new one

I like those theories, but for now at least, that's a they are.

Although, I don't know what else it COULD be? It's seems more likely that it is a new Pokemon.

It's Articuno! You guys never played "Who's that Pokémon?", right?

It not Ho-oh because the tail is closer to Articuno. Its not Articuno because the crest is close to Ho-oh. Those are the two closest matches to this Pokemon. My vote is for a new Pokemon being introduced specifically to intertwine with 3DS functionality for Black 2/ White 2. Based on what Kingofe3 said it sounds that way. I mean come on, red and blue colored? In other words, the 2 common colors used in 3D glasses. A Dimension Pokemon as in the 3-dimensional 3DS? Its certainly starting to sound like a 3DS exclusive new Pokemon to me...

Check the link that compares them. It is definitely not Archen, Ho-Oh, or Articuno. I think that those rumors/theories may be correct.

Finally someone agrees with me!

The thing is, the Pokemon isn't just flying in it's normal poses. It's moving around. So it can definitely be archeops or some other similar Pokemon just caught in a really weird animation.
Although I would love for it to be a new Pokemon.

This is all assuming this game uses "realistic" (pokedex style) graphics and not some strangely deformed style.

Also, who told us that the "head" was really a head?

I noticed that the first time I saw but did not think much of it.

It isn't the first time a new Pokemon appears in a gen before its appearance in the next gen games (Munchlax and Bonsly show up in Pokemon XD, the latter could be used in Battle although limited). Looking forward to new info. The BW saga is nearly over (Ash at 7th gym). .. That's faster than DP which really annoyed me.

That's a new Pokémon, and if it isn't new, then it's not Archeops, Articuno or Ho-oh. Just look at the feet, they're completely different than those three.

My initial thought was that it represented a Pidgeot. ._.
