Topic: A fun question for you

Here's a fun question for everyone. No calculators until you answer the question and go with your first choice:
If you are offered a job with two different pay choices for the exact same work, which would you take?
1. You get paid $250,000 a month (30 day period)
2. You get paid a penny on the first day and on day 2 it doubles to 2 pennies, day 3 it doubles again to 4 pennies and so on until the 30th day. After that you will get paid a penny again on day 1 of next month and it doubles again until 30th day.

Which payment offer will you take?

Will you be my boss please?

that's an old riddle, and given the $5m+ difference between the two amounts, you're better off with the latter option.

The first option. Since there is no penny you'd be paying me nothing for the 2nd one, regardless of what is actually worth

2nd, classic riddle.

A riddle older than peeing standing up. The second one will clearly give you more money, because it's 2^30 pennies. Lots of people dont really see thepower of exponential numbers.

It's obviously the second option. How about this for a riddle? A rich person doesn't have a lot of it, a poor person has plently of it, and when you die you take it with you. What is it?

I remember this riddle from grade school. Its the second one cause at the end of the 30th day its like well over a million IIRC.
