This morning I woke up to great news. The NFL people are trying to wrap up the lockout thing in the next few days, and if they do the season will start in early September. Discuss! /happiness.

The only football I watch is European football aka Soccer. American Football is just too bloody boring, and all the NFL players are doped up gangsters and criminals.

Don't shake hands with Tom Brady, he may stab you and take your money to buy some drugs. (Sarcasm ends here) Please explain to me what makes it more boring than your football (Soccer) though. I can't quite figure out what makes Soccer more interesting and if you can tell me why it is a better sport in your opinion, I would find it interesting.

The thing that I find sooo boring with American Football is that they stop play after every play. The guy runs 5 yards and they stop play and set up for the next play. They spend more time discussing the play than doing the play. I find soccer more exciting cause its continuous. Yeah the ball goes out of bounds but they throw it right back in, in American Football the guy runs out of bounds and they stop playing while they chit chat on the side lines get a drink of water etc. etc. I mean if they wouldnt take so much time between plays I would probably enjoy watching it more. But when an hour game regulation time mind you I am not counting over time takes 4 hours something is wrong there.
Dont worry I find baseball boring too to watch now Basketball I can watch cause once again its continuous. But I guess thats just me.

@Tasuki Yeah, I kind of see what you mean. There are many commercial breaks in football, (Depending on how long it takes a team to turn over the ball/score.) and they do take about 20 seconds to start the next play, but it really isn't that bad. I mean there are only 3 time outs per team per half which are really only ever used by the team that is losing and there aren't any water breaks or chit chats on the sidelines either because they only have 25 or 40 seconds to start the next play or else it is a delay of game penalty. We also have this really handy TV program called "The Red Zone" which shows all teams that are in scoring position, all turnovers, and big plays all on one channel without commercials so there never are any pauses until multiple games are in halftime which is very helpful. Games usually take about 2 1/2 hours to play, as well, counting all the commercial breaks and half time.
While I'm excited that I may get to see the Packers again as scheduled, it pisses me off that millionaires and billionaires are complaining about not getting enough money. I could live without ever seeing another professional football game for a long time if we just fired everyone and hired only people who appreciate they're getting paid millions of dollars to play a game most people are doing in their backyards just because it's fun.

Thats cool. Yeah I know that soccer has its moments too dont get me wrong like when a guy takes a little bump and he acts like he was ran over by a truck freakin makes me just roll my eyes.
I dont mean any disrespect but for me the game just is to slow for my taste. Maybe one of these days I will Tivo a game and just fast foward through the stopage times lol.

If you don't mean disrespect, why'd you call the players doped up drug addicts and criminals? That sounds pretty disrespectful to me.
cause its true. I am always readin in the news and seeing on the news this NFL play has ODed, this one is being arrested for a dive bye, this one is being arrested for illegal dog fights its never ending.

Pfff, the news is always making people look bad. You're seriously basing your assumption on that? You really think they're gonna report on people being upstanding citizens? Because that's what a lot of sports players are.

Lol most sports players are all in it for themselves now just look at the examples. Tiger Woods yeah nice upstanding citizen there. Michale Vicks theres another one, Barry Bonds, Ron Artest. I can go on.
I miss the days of the players just playing for the game not squabbling over money when they already make millions and shooting themselves up to break records. Its disgusting.
