well here goes 1. how long does a normal game take? 2. is it a good pick up and play finish and be done game? 3. good game to play before bed? 4. addicting? 5. leaderboards?
1. how long does a normal game take? it depends on how good you are at pinball to keep your ball in the table 2. is it a good pick up and play finish and be done game? yes 3. good game to play before bed? yes! 4. addicting? yes!! 5. leaderboards? no
This is ground control to major Tom, you've really made the grade. And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare
1. That depends on how well you do. There is a one-ball "daily" game that goes by fairly quickly, and the standard 3-ball game that can last anywhere from 5 minutes to 15 or more if you're doing well... although I could be completely off on those estimates, as I've never really watched the clock while playing.
2. Yes.
3. Absolutely, I'd say it's one of the DSiWare titles best suited for that function.
4. I'd say so, but it depends on whether you enjoy the classic pinball feel. Considered from one angle, it's a very simple game, but it also requires considerable skill to begin to master, and it does a remarkable job of creating the feel of a real pinball machine, complete with lights, sounds, moving parts, etc.
5. Local only, but sufficient for beating your own high scores.

Games can last a minute to infinite. Depends how good and luck you are.
There's a daily mode, which isn't really anything special, but it gives you a nice feeling of being able to pick up and play the game a lot for a quick little session. I guess it's a good game to play before bed. lol I dunno. I don't find it that addicting, but it is fun.
No leaderboards...Well no online leaderboards. But there is a high score list.
I'd say get it, though I still stand on the opinion that it should've been 200 points. lol
Just know that it's only one table, and only those two basic modes, nothing to unlock and so forth. There are certainly DSiWare titles that pack more content if you're looking to maximize your gameplay for your points... but if you're looking for something addictive, polished, well-suited to quick play sessions, and perfect for playing for a few minutes before bed (and it seems that you are), this would be an excellent choice.

I did, but I refused to sell the one I won through the contest, because that would feel wrong somehow, and I also couldn't sell my old one with all its downloads. So, I did a nice thing and gave the new one to an old friend of mine, who once bought me a DS Lite a few years back for helping him out during a bad time. He's always drawing caricatures and has quite a talent at little animations, so I set up FlipNote for him and he didn't disappoint a bit with his first creation. All in all, I'd say I made the right decision.
I'm still playing Nostalgia, by the way, which I kept for myself of course.

1. how long does a normal game take? i have lost the Daily Game (1 ball) in about 10 seconds.. on the other hand, I scored 24million points and that game took me over 2 hours(3 balls but you can get extra balls) 2. is it a good pick up and play finish and be done game? yes. Daily Game keeps me coming back to it everyday cause Im trying to beat my old score of 1.8million.. But I cant which is sort of wierd because I feel like Im better than when I got that score. 3. good game to play before bed? Yeah unless you do real well and score 24million and spend 2 hours on one game... hahah 4. addicting? I am addicted to it. If you buy it, try to open Pandoras Box. That is the ultimate IN GAME goal.. I believe... 5. leaderboards? Not online/wifi. But there are 3 highscore boards that keeps track of DailyGame, Immortal and Mortal. I believe Immortal is when you dont use more than the credit of 1 game but Mortal scores are based on when you loose and it asks you to continue, you opt to do so and continue playing.
