Topic: Quake 3 DS?

I remember when they announced this game like 2 years ago but so far they haven't said anything. Does anyone knows something? I wouldn't like it to be cancelled.

I remember they announced an XBLA version too along that.

I've actually never heard anything about that. I'm getting hand cramps just thinking about playing that on the DS.

You sure you're not thinking of C.O.R.E., which has frequently been compared to Quake 3?

Nope. id software's Carmack announced it when he also mentioned about Quake Live (which is out now) and an XBLA version:

Oh, well certainly something. And Quake 3 Arena is coming to XBLA possibly? Splendid! Now all we need is System Shock 2 and Half-Life 1, and my PC-related life will be complete.

Well, he (Carmack) was thinking about Quake Arena DS. Maybe they're too busy with Quake Live or some other Quake project.

But still, I can imagine 1 day of online on it (if it happens), and the next day I come to school with bandages on it.

There is one diff. between C.O.R.E. and Quake Arena DS. C.O.R.E. Bombed and Quake Arena DS could just be in developmental hell like Duke Nukem Forever.
