Topic: No Pokémon "Grey" Coming to Nintendo DS

I think 5th gen will be cooler then 3rd and 4th, maybe not 2nd but what is?

I have to admit, if there ever was a game that could use a third edition, it's Black/White. That game feels unifinished.

No Safari Zone? Come on, Game Freak!!! You can do better than that.

That's what people said last time about getting the 2nd Gen starters in Pokemon Colosseum, Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness and Pokemon Emerald and we still got the amazing HeartGold and SoulSilver. A remake is set in order for Ruby and Sapphire.

Why thank you. At least you're on the "Raging Ruby" side. People want Magma Ruby and Aqua Sapphire, which isn't too bad... But I think Raging Ruby and Stormy/Storming Sapphire really suits the game's plot- unless they change something.. or something..

I'm pretty sure something was lost in translation.. Or they simply lied. (not wanting to harm the sales of Black/White).

Of course they're going to make a third version and I can't believe anyone would think otherwise. Like has already been said, B/W feel more incomplete than any of the previous games, things that have been basic features for years are absent and improvements the past few games have made are also curiously missing. There's also one or two plot points (which I won't get into for the sake of spoilers) which have obviously been left open for the sake of being explored later.. and of course, Kyurem - who will obviously be the third mascot, cannot learn certain moves that are exclusive to him and seems to have a second form which is also inaccessible in Black/White.

There WILL be a third version and it will most likely be a 3DS game.

I know everyone keeps referring to the third iteration of B/W as Grey... but I would hope if they do come out with a third one that they'd call it something more interesting than that. Something like Chrome.

Why is everything on the 3DS? You know nothing about the 3DS and cannot just post on everything topic and thread that's the game isn't for DS it's for 3DS. You sound dumb! There is no Grey/Gray version. Get it in your head!

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by this (or who you're referring to). But it doesn't make sense for Nintendo to continue to support the regular DS once the 3DS is released, so if they do make a third version.. and all the signs lead me to believe there will be, they'll obviously make it for their current platform.

Yes, Nintendo are currently saying there's no third version but that's what they said after Ruby& Sapphire, Diamond & Pearl and more recently when asked if they were making a new handheld to replace the DS. Until it's officially announced, they're going to deny it. Otherwise, they're essentially telling us "hey, don't bother buying Black & White next month, just wait until we release Gray next year!".

Intresting, maybe we will see Pokemon Gray released after all.

I started to save money so that I would be able to buy "Grey" when it came out and so that I would not be suckered into buying a Pokémon game (Black and/or White) when a new, and better one (Grey) was on it's way. I'll admit, when I saw the article that was a posted on the first comment to this forum, I got scared that I was too late to start saving my money and that I would not be able to get Black or White in time to participate evens, such as the Victini one. But, as I read on, I became more and more releaved that my efforts had not gone to waste. As for my thoughts on this topic of discussion, I believe that there will definitely be a third addition (well, at least now I do) because it would be foolish not to. If it's anything like Platinum was to Diamond and Pearl, then it will be worth it.

On a small side note: I was on Bulbagarden and came across an interesting pattern in which the the third additions came with the two originals. Starting with Gen. I games, then II, III, and IV, and then if Grey is true to soon exist, then V, then a pattern will be made based on the physical relation of the names of the original 2 games and their improved counterpart: Color,Color,Color
Metal,Metal,Gem
Gem,Gem,Gem
Gem,Gem,Metal
Color,Color,and most likely color

Yes! Ya know, THAT would work! Whart if they make that actual game cartridge chrome? I'd love to see that! They should have made the White cartridge white and the Black black (even though all the DS cartridges are black, well, no, actually it's more of a grey...meh, never mind)

I'd guess that's because white is reserved for the few DSi-exclusive games.
