Ok so, I have an old Nintendo DS lite I got from my grandma in 2018 and it has had no problems these past few years until now. This all started when I went on vacation a month ago. It was working perfectly fine, until I got back a few days later and I was with a friend. I was showing him my DSes and when I tried turning on my DS lite, it wouldn’t turn on. After he left, I turned it on in a different room and it did. That was the last time it turned on. After that, it wouldn’t work. I’ve even tried charging it. Still not working. Anyone know what the problem is? Please tell me. Help is greatly appreciated.

Also, @Nephestinus, your suggestion didn’t help, but thank you! @Dr_Corndog your “advice” was hilarious.

Forgot to mention, I hear something rattling inside the system itself. Is there a loose part maybe?

It seems the problem is it’s not switching on

@Todokawa_Kaardo I've had similar problems once. I tried to turn mine on but it didn't show anything although the light turned green showing that it turned on.
What I've done is that I've kept it running until it ran out of battery. Once it turned off that way I charged it until full and it worked fine afterwards.

Dunk it in raspberry jam.

If that doesn't work, try grape.

Sorry @Eel! I should’ve known I could just update this.

@Todokawa_Kaardo Lmao, I'm gonna guess it's died down now? If now then I can't help you on that regard.
If it did, does it work again?

@Nephestinus yes, I let it die. It legit took almost 2 days for it to do so! 😅 But still, no.

@CactusMan hey! Forgot to mention, my DS lite is working now! I had to sacrifice my power button and I accidentally bent the corner of it a little. Other than that, I’m able to turn it on with a paper clip into the power button and a clothespin on the edge of the system to jumpstart it. And when it’s actually on, I can take that clothespin off and it work perfect fine! Thank you. 😁
