Glow Artisan (500pts - Powerhead Games) -- A picture puzzle game wherein you use a blueprint to make pixel-like versions of objects by matching co-ordinates and mixing colours. You can make your own puzzles using the DSi Camera also. The developer's website explains the concept a little better come on somebody...take the plunge...we all have points cards from christmas and then let us know
Its a puzzle game, You have 5 or 10 rows and columns, you can select one of three colors (blue, red and yellow) or an eraser as your tool.
You drag the colors from the start of the row/column until you cover the desired blocks (placing colors over different colors mixes them, mixing red and blue creates purple, blue and yellow creates green, red and yellow creates orange, and all three create white ), with the eraser, it always erases all the row/column you choose.
The point is to match the design on the upper screen with as few moves as possible.
Every 6 main levels you win a trophy piece (4 pieces for 4 trophies, wich makes 96 main levels) and a bonus picture-based puzzle.
Picture based puzzles show you the image they where taken from after you finish them.
If a puzzle is too hard you can auto solve it, but only three times a day, if you change the time of the system to get more solves, you will be banned from auto solving for two days.
You can create (seemingly infinite) puzzles yourself using the free editor or create image based puzzles yourself, which you can share with your friends with the game, levels you create or you have beated before can be auto solved as many times as you want.
There is multiplayer, you can race through 3 puzzles or make a puzzle for your rival to solve, who then will be able to change the puzzle for you to solve it back, and so until time runs out.
I think i said about everything there is to the game, i hope i helped. It is actually very unique and fun.
Ok, I'll try and do my best to describe Glow Artisan to those who have yet to take the plunge. Glow Artisan is a picture puzzle game that is very much unlike any other picture/puzzle game I have played. I suppose the closest thing to compare it to would be Picross because the ultimate goal of some of the puzzles is to form a picture with the pieces. That is where the similarities stop because the actual gameplay is nothing like Picross. Basically, you get a grid that is either 5x5 or 10x10. Both play the same just the 10x10 is obviously more difficult. For sake of simplicity, I will explain the game using the 5x5 grid. So anyway, you have a 5x5 grid. on the top and left of the grid are tabs numbered 1-5 going left to right on the top and top to bottm on the left. You are tasked with "drawing" in pieces to the grid in order to match a model displayed on the top screen. You have 3 colors you can lay down which are red, blue, and yellow. Aditionally, if you overlap these primary colors, you get mixes in the form of green, orange, and purple. furthermore, if you overlap red, blue, and yellow on one grid segment, it will turn white. Very basic color mixing knowledge is needed although there is a reference chart in the pause screen. When you go to lay down color on the squares of the grid, you must draw your strokes out from the tabs on either the top or left so it isn't possible to draw in one block of color in the bottom right corner because it is not attached to one of the tabs. You also have an eraser tool which if used on a tab on the top or left will erase that entire row or column, no picking and choosing which single blocks you want erased, either all or none. There is also a handy undo button available for the mistakes you will very often make. Make no mistake, this game is hard after you get out of the tutorial levels. you have to plan very carefully every move you make, this game is heavily strategic. Also worth noting is that a blocks color cannot be changed unless it is to make a new blend. for example, if you draw with red over an orange block, the block will stay orange. So that covers the gameplay to the best of my ability. As far as presentation goes, this game is very nice. It offers tutorials every step of the way to make you really understand the game. Also, given the difficulty of this game, it offers a nice autosolve option in the pause screen. This option will no doubt make you feel stupid every time it is used as it can solve the puzzle speedy and effortlessly as you just watch in awe. Use this option sparingly though because you only get 3 free passes per day. Every level has a number of moves associated with either a bronze, silver, or gold medal and makes for alot of replayability and good goals to shoot for. Speaking of goals, upon completing a set of levels, you will earn a trophy piece which will place itself in an 8-bit representation of a trophy until you have completed the trophy. There are 4 trophies to aquire each bigger than the last. Also included in Glow Artisan is a level creator. Here you can make your own grids with the same tools you use in the game. But where this mode really shines is with it's use of the DSi camera. You can take a picture of something or just import a picture from your album which the game will take and pixelize down into a playable grid. You can then take this current product and edit it usin a helpful editing wizard. With this you can select one portion of the picture to be represented in the puzzle as well as fiddle wit the brightness and contrast until your game grid is to you liking. When it is, the gme will asses its difficulty and you have it to play anytime. When you solve a puzzle you made, the blocky 5x5 version of it will slowly pixlize itself back to the original image. So that is Glow Artisan described to the best of my abilities. Sorry if this is a bit long winded and scater-brained. If you have any questions, just ask.

Here's a hint if you're trying to get gold in bonus puzzle #3 without auto-solve: 1,2. Fill column one and five with red (except for the fifth row); 3. Erase row two.
