Has anyone tried the Avatar demo from the nintendo channel? I'm not sure if any other games have the exact controls that Phantom Hourglass has, but I played the demo, and they seem exactly the same.
Stylus to move. Holding down further away from character will make him move faster. I'm sure a lot of DS game use this, but it even has a little light when you touch the screen
Swing stylus to attack. Doing it towards the enemy will make him stab, and making a swiping motion will make him swing his spear. There are even pots you can break.
Items work exactly the same way as PH. You have a slingshot, and there is an icon of it on the screen. Press the icon with your stylus, and you can use it by touching the direction you want it to go. It even has an Item menu like PH. But this is what got me - you can hold down L just as in PH to use your item. And when you let go of L, the item is put away.
Switches - again, there are a lot of games with switches, but when I was using them, I was thinking PH. There is one part where the switch is inside of a room with a door, and you have to stand outside of the room and bounce your slingshot pellet thingy off of the wall and hit the switch, which closes that door, and opens another one.
Download the demo and see what you think. And please tell me if there are a lot of DS games that use this control, so I won't be counfused.
This is...odd. 0_o Why would Ubisoft make a PH clone? Too many questions, this topic brings.
Thanks given to Xkhaoz for that one avatar. Please contact me before using my custom avatar!

That's okay is that, although I wonder if you have to go right back to the beginning of a level if you die in the real game? That would be super-annoying.
Sean Aaron ~ "The secret is out: I'm really an American cat-girl." Q: How many physicists does it take to change a light bulb? A: Two, one to hold the light bulb, the other to rotate the universe.
And? Does it have the same plot? The same characters? The same items? The same visual style? The amount of games that share the same movement controls/camera controls etc is beyond belief. And remember, there are only so many possible ways of controlling a game.
