Topic: Are You a Major Electroplankton Fan?

I tried a using a male-to-male jack to record something in Jam Sessions DS and it worked perfectly.

Indeed using a male-male stereo cord is best, directly into your computer's line-in.

In the old thread (https://www.nintendolife.com/forums/dsiware/electroplankton_se...), I posted three clips I recorded in this fashion, of loops I made with Trapy. Here they are again, for illustration.

@supermarioman out of curiosity, do you have all 10 electroplanktons, or the cartridge?

I only have hanenbow, but I really like it. I go in to play it for a minute, and end up playing it for much longer! I want to get Luminarrow and Beatness, but those are the only other two that interest me.

I am!! I've downloaded all of them, except for Volvoice, and Hanenbow is my favorite.

As I said before, anyone who ties with me [I have all 10] automatically becomes my best friend. Zezhyrule currently is, because he has 9. Anyone else have all 10?

My wife bought me the game for my b-day back when it came out and I still pop it in every once and awhile to mess around. To be honest, I probably appreciate it more for it's novelty because it's just such a cool experiment. That said, it's a lot of fun if you can get in the right frame of mind and enjoy losing yourself in the cacophony of sound. My personaly favorite is Rec-Rec because of it's simplicity and utility (making songs out of everyday sounds on the go). I really get a kick out of going for a hike around town, sitting on a bench at the park, and producing a few quick little songs out of the ambient noise. Sometimes I even hook my DS up to my MP3 player and record the little ditties for nostalgic sake (I used to have around 30 of 'em loaded on there until something happened to my MP3 and the files became corrupt... I didn't listen to them much, but every once in awhile it was fun to reminisce about my various hikes/adventures and the sounds I discovered along the way).

Oh, and the cartidge doesn't count, because it means you had to get all 10. You didn't choose to get all 10.

I would get the cartridge, but I already have all 10 on the DSi. You are now my best friend, because you have the cartridge, you would buy all 10, and you started this topic. Go you!

What is the point in buying Volvoice if the dsi sound has even more features than it? But thanks for making me not your best friend, because I didn't want to waste $2 dollars of my money.

Hey, you're still one of my good friends. I have the highest respect for anyone who is willing to waste 2 dollars just because they like electroplankton.

I'm glad you repsect me 110! Also I just noticed that Beatnes is spelled Beat and then NES, becuase of the tunes, wow I'm blind as a bat!

Well I was looking at the title on the cart and online and both said BeatNES, a lot of people probably haven't noticed this either or maybe were just too busy playing to notice! I was woundering two things 110, how old you are (to see if its just kids who are liking Electroplankton or everyone, if you don't want to answer you don't have to) and if you like the name changes from the cartridge release, like:
Marine Snow: Marine Crystals
Lumarria: Luminarow
ETC.

I have all but BeatNES (Yes, I did notice that.), Volvoice, and Rec-Rec. My favorite is Sun-Animalcule. It's so soothing.

@supermarioman I will answer the second question. NO. Why did they change them? I liked the old names! Trapy makes much less sense than Tracy! Varvoice is almost the exact same thing as Volvoice. What need was there? Luminarrow is clever, but I liked luminaria better. Sometimes, NOA do stupid things. The stupid thing was messing with electroplankton. The good thing was bringing them to America DSiware at all.
I answered the age question in the "are we all male and what age?" thread. It's in wiiware, and I should be on one of the later pages.

LOL random comment, but when I googled "#1 electroplankton fan", the second result was a comment I made on another thread! It's official, because the first result was a website that had groups of different game fans. I'm number one! Wheeeeeee!

The name changes are pointless(and I don't like them). It is not like kids everywhere would be complaining that Luminaria doesn't make sense. Same thing that 110% said about "Trapy". And Var/Vol? No point!
