Topic: How should Nintendo deal with amiibo shortages?

All they can do is keep cranking em out as fast as possible, re-supplying OoS figures whenever they can. Eventually, supply will catch back up with demand. Even if all the scalpers keep buying em up, there comes a point where there is no more people willing to pay that much over MSRP, which means scalpers will drop price just to break even and they'll stop buying those particular figures because demand has been satiated. It won't happen overnight, but I think once the restocks hit (and I guarantee this won't be the last time they restock Wave 1) it'll start getting a little better. Hopefully.

Everyone forgot Nintendo does this all the time. They held back the Wii at first. I wouldn't been surprised deep down if someone's like "nah just make 10,000 of X amiibo for North America and we'll get them all worked up to want to buy them, then we'll release more"

That would make sense, but it's been since November and the stock is still really bad.
