Not every item can be used underwater, only the sword and a few other.

Have you tried setting the sword to B instead?

That worked, thanks!

So Seasons are Ages are 2 out of the 3 Zelda games I have never beat, and I've been stuck in Seasons for months now (I kind of quit out of not figuring out what to do). I trying to get to the Dancing Dragon Dungeon I beleive, but I can't find it. I have found this giant Goron but I don't have what he wants. I looked on Zelda Dungeon's site's walkthrough, but it was step by step as if I wanted to do all the side quest (which I honestly didn't plan on doing unless I have to or really should for some reason). Anybody know what I may need to do??

To enter the dancing dragon dungeon, I think you need the power of summer in your rod of seasons, have you found that yet?

During summer, water evaporates and vines grow.

hmm...i will check because I'd like to try it out again, but I believe I do. Maybe that's what I've done wrong. I hate to be too lazy to get all the side quit stuff but I just haven't let myself get immersed in all the handheld games like I do the console games....heck....the Zelda series is probably my favorite series and in all honestly, I've only ever gotten all the heart pieces in one of them (OOT). I think part of my problem is with things like side quest is that I kind of forget what I've done and what I haven't done, and thus even making a little help from a walkthrough not very helpful.

Have just today finished Link's Awakening but feel terrible as needed zeldadungeon walkthrough help towards the end.

Wish to begin Ages soon afew questions if you'd be so kind...:

How is the difficulty level of Ages's puzzles compared with Awakening?
Spent a fair few hours wondering about the overworld without picking up the next-thing-to-do clues, does Age's have a tighter structure?
How do the overall game sizes compare?

All that said, Awakening was great fun and i'll be picking up Age's regardless, just want to gauge peoples impressions from playing LinksAwakening before OoA.

ManyThanks

In a scale of action to puzzles the GBC Zelda games go like this:

ACTION ORIENTED
^ ORACLE OF SEASONS
|
~ LINK'S AWAKENING
|
v ORACLE OF AGES
PUZZLE ORIENTED

1) Harder. Halfway through I had difficulty figuring out the puzzles even with a guide.
2) Don't worry, it's much easier to progress in Ages. I think. I used a guide when I played Ages, but I recall not needing it to just figure out where to go and stuff.
3) ...somebody else will probably have to answer that question, I quit both games by the 4th dungeon.

Ages makes sure you know where to go with "vague but obvious" hints provided by the Maku Tree.

About length. I'd say all three zelda games are about the same.

Well, I've been playing OoA (linked quest), and for the first time I'm generally clueless about what to do.

I'm fighting the boss of the 8th dungeon, & I have no idea how to damage it's 4th form.

In this form, it's arms are balls 'n' chains, and I thought you'd have to throw the balls back at it after it tries hitting you with them (since you got the power glove in the dungeon), but that doesn't work. I've also tried hitting the balls back (and hitting the boss head on) with every other item in my inventory to no avail (even the spin-attack). Any idea?

You're close, you're trying to grab the wrong ball
